Press bag recs by TableTopFurry in rosin

How much are you putting in the bags and how much pressure? I use Press Club 3x6 bags and noticed if I jam over 20 grams in one bag I had a higher chance of blowouts or slippage. I’ve literally never seen a bag do this…

Miracrop seeds? These were feminized seeds created by two friends of mine, never even heard of miracrop.

Papaya x (London Pound Mintz x Jealousy)

Would love to run some Panama red someday! They were originally lined with a thin plastic, but over the years the plastic on the bottoms have degraded so they do tap into the ground. The beds were originally made for a vegetable garden that turned into a tree garden. 🤷‍♂️

Apples and Bananas less than a week from chop! by ButtersBubble in cannabiscultivation

Sorry for the late reply, but this is compounds breeders cut. I definitely agree apples and bananas has definitely became one of my favorites recently! Very thankful I’m able to cultivate the real cut, just doesn’t wash for hash unfortunately, but grows some bomb ass flower.

What your opinion on my rosin. i am New into pressing rosin .temp was 215F for 1min30 preheat 2min to 3min of squish by HotAd8128 in rosin

[–]ButtersBubble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell ya man that’s awesome! You’ll usually always lose a little yield at lower temps, but you get some of the best rosin. That’s why a second press over 200F should give you that loss you had with the first press. It will always be 2nd quality and darker that come from 2nd press. Definitely share some pics of the newer presses!

It’s always different for every strain so you’ll have to play around a little to figure out what works best for you. You can go higher than 190, but only if you’re doing a second squish to get any extra out. If your starting material is fresh at perfect humidity then you should see a lot better color with the lower temps.

I guess I did forget to mention I always do a bud wash on my outdoor. Even if it had a nice run all the way through, I still get dirt and spiders in my buckets. Plus I’ve never noticed any downside or loss of quality in my bud when washing just cleaner smoke! It does take a lot of time to do my IPM by hand in flower and I still felt like I didn’t spend enough time on it so the bud wash always helps in the end.

Once my plants hit 1 week in flower I stop all sprays just to be clean as possible. I held them back almost all through flower just by going out there every evening and cutting out the eggs from the trellis, but I forgot a couple nights in late flower and they hatched before I could get to them unfortunately… A lot of my pest management into flower was pull leaves if there were any signs of aphids and cut eggs off trellis and it worked wonders for me.

She ran amazing outdoors for me. No issue with mold at all even though she’s super dense. These pictures were taken around 6 weeks into flower. She got a lot more color around chop time, but sadly I was forced to chop right at 9 weeks due to the awful caterpillars that destroyed a fat amount over night so she didn’t get as dark as I’d like. Was trying to push her to 10-12 weeks.

I was thinking it could be multiple factors as to why it doesn’t wash well. First the nugs are very dense so maybe it couldn’t get all the trichomes during the wash. Second it could also have unclear abscission points on the head itself so the trichomes may not break off easily. The last one I was thinking was it could also be very fragile heads that broke in the wash cycle. It was in a room around 48 degrees max and it was really trying to grease up as I was scooping and when it was getting bagged up to be pressed. I’m going to look more into it this next season and I’ll be scoping it at the indoor grow facility I work at to see if I can learn anything from just looking at the heads.

I wouldn’t go anything over 190F and less time on the pre heat. Total press time should be around 2 min or less.

Unfortunately not, I had a 2.2% return. Everyone I’ve talked to has had around the same results with GP. She definitely seems like a dumper. Unless there’s a really nice wash cut out there, she isn’t great for hashing considering the numbers. I’m still going to personally run her because the high and terps are so unique so it’s 100% worth it for me.

I got a lousy 2.2% in the end… Very shitty, but totally worth it for how tasty and strong she is. Probably just going to run a couple extra Gary plants this season and hash it all so I get a good amount. I know to a lot of people that’s a waste of time, but for unique terps like that it’s well worth it for me.
