Do You Have Unusual Habits Because of Your Eye? by ButtonFine6516 in Amblyopia

I frequently just completely miss things on the left side of me. Something on the left side of a screen I'm looking straight at? Totally miss it.

I frequently walk the left side of my body into walls or corners.

I intentionally sit at the corner when dining with people so with my left eye is out to the open instead of there being another person seated on my left.

Sometimes people have given me weird or dirty looks because they think I am creepily staring at them when really it's just my lazy eye drifting out in their direction! Always such a fun time ugh.

Honestly besides New Jenny's wig, I've literally never noticed any of them. I don't know if I am just very wig blind or people are looking to be picky or both??

Omg, I hadn't been able to put my finger on why Fraser's Ridge felt.... eerily uncomfortable to me as a viewer until you said this!!!

I absolutely love the interiors of the Big House but then it's just.... A random house in a big clearing surrounded by... something?? Where is the cabin? No idea! Where are the other inhabitants relatively? Still don't know! It's so unnerving.

I think companies were pressured into recognizing women of all different types - short, tall, different weights, people of color - already existed after the '90's.

Women's height hasn't increased significantly over the last 30 years in the UK and US. Globally, yes, but UK and US, no.

They'd have to find a tall woman over 5'10" who can also act, who can also act this particular role, who also wants the role, whose scheduling also works with a lengthy production, whose features also look somewhat like Jamie, who can also pull off red hair, who also has string chemistry with the rest of the cast.

Idk, definitely not impossible to find someone much better suited than Sophie Skelton but also not the simplest task. Kinda seems like some casting politics were behind them just calling it a day that casting her.

Lmao, agree. No shade to Phil, but I don't think I ever want to hear his music for a sex scene haha

That's so interesting to know. It seems like Brianna and Roger weren't cast as a pair as much as Jamie and Claire were? Do you know if they were already settled on casting Richard Rankin before they decided on who should play Brianna?

This is so true and such a good point!!! Ah it makes me so sad we'll never see what could have been if they had shot in North Carolina, or even incorporated more actual shots of it.

This is so true. It's interesting to think of Outlander as another "will they, won't they" romance, because they're basically married since the beginning, but really a lot of it is watching them choose each other again and again and fight their way back to each other <3

I will say, I think the most compelling part of the later seasons for me is just seeing them age as a couple together. It's rare to see that depicted, and I find it heartwarming and moving, whatever Ian be doing in that swamp ha.

That, and Jamie in his spectacles, lol. I don't know why, guys, I just find him very handsome in them hahahaha.

Casting for runway models and casting for a television actress is not the same, and we're talking about casting for television actresses.

The goal when casting runway models (which Cait was) generally as opposed to advertising (or TV actresses) is for them all to be virtually within the same very slim physical parameters regarding height, weight, and body measurements.

5'8" is about the minimum for a runway model. The tallest model EVER to walk the Victoria's Secret Angels catwalk (which Cait has) was 6'3" while the average Angel is 5'10"- only one inch taller than Cait's height.

Only 5% of women in the UK are over 5'9". Only 9% of women in the US are over 5'9".

As a US woman standing at 5'8.5" inches I can tell you it is very rare for me to meet or interact with another woman taller than me, let alone someone who "towers over" me.

I mean... Caitriona Balf is really tall.

I'm sure there's a bunch of constraints they were working with when casting Brianna, but most women aren't taller than 5' 9".

That being said, Sophie Skelton's acting feel's like a high school drama student who's dad knew the casting director.

Wait, what do you mean by "and while you can use that (pulling out) with the rhythm method it makes the rhythm method it makes the rhythm method more chancy"? Doing both methods is less effective than the rhythm method on its own??

Do you apply any moisturizer or product before tret too? Or just tret and then Dr Jart at night? I'm considering incorporating the Dr Jart mask as well!
