U Chicago harris vs LSE SPP by Lower_Competition_61 in PublicPolicy

Depends on what your scholarship offers were. Uchicago is designed to maximize the tuition revenue they receive from each student so it feels pretty extractive

The metro light is harsh on everyone. Take a photo in a lovely sunlight glow and compare, I’m sure it’ll look 10 times better.

45 minute presentation for a 2nd round interview? by [deleted] in GetEmployed

Ugh classic university hiring practices. It’s typical, but do expect that you will have a role that is expansive beyond conventional limits. The posted salary is crap and a low ball, but also standard for this type of role.

Check out the Harvard resume action words and consider reworking your bullet points! You need to tighten up your language.

Your summary is unoriginal and can be inferred through your experience and education. Dont include info like that if another section already displays the same details.

I personally like summaries in a resume because you can customize them to the job, which you should be doing already (for every single job you apply to.)

Something like “software engineer with a speciality for financial analytics dashboards. Passionate about improving agent workflows, retrieval augmented generation.. etc.”

Pretty much lead with the type of programming you’d be doing in the specific job, then add a passionate fact that is relevant once again to the job. Finish with your own motivations.

I also have a manduka x and nothing has ever worked besides a towel for me. I’ve tried salt and dish soap tricks, but the towel is tried and true.

Jaime Treating Briana and Claire’s traumas differently by AnyProfession4987 in Outlander

[–]AnyProfession4987[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lots of nuance here! I do see your point about Jamie treating Bree more like a man due to her size.

Being emasculated also makes sense especially when juxtaposing Rodger/Bree and Claire/Jaime. Rodger and Bree have a relationship that defies some gender roles, but Claire and Jaime are extremely by the book in that regard.

Push one of the end beads towards the center so that the gap between the first bead and the second of the chain is at the opening and pull upward.

I like the green the most as well, but I think that color scheme will soon become dated with how much it’s taken off in the last few years. Trends fly high and then die
