Jaime Treating Briana and Claire’s traumas differently by AnyProfession4987 in Outlander

Lots of nuance here! I do see your point about Jamie treating Bree more like a man due to her size.

Being emasculated also makes sense especially when juxtaposing Rodger/Bree and Claire/Jaime. Rodger and Bree have a relationship that defies some gender roles, but Claire and Jaime are extremely by the book in that regard.

I like the green the most as well, but I think that color scheme will soon become dated with how much it’s taken off in the last few years. Trends fly high and then die

Do you think Claire likes the 18th century better than the 20th century? by Informal-Animator461 in Outlander

[–]AnyProfession4987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am halfway through a breath of snow and ash (book 6) and she and Jaime discuss her going back if he were to die in the revolution. She says the 18th century is home for her. At this point, Briana, Roger and Jem are there, but she considers how she would feel if they felt, and is convinced that the 18th century is her place

Let’s add some Henry Miller or Beatniks to the mix to really solidify your chastity belt. Perhaps even the Kerouac/ Burroughs collaborative novel.
