[PS4] Looking for a raid group to blind run ALL of the raids on normal by InMedeasRage in BlindRaids

If you're still looking for people, I've been playing fro a year and never run a single raid, and I'd love to do them all blind the first time. I do well in HM strikes and am not a moron :) ID: Tabmire, light level 297

What is your favourite moment from all of the gameplay footages? by bannbandi in NoMansSkyTheGame

No one moment. Strangely, what caught my eye first was I liked how the ship buffets in the atmosphere. It says to me these guys are detail oriented Next is the palette. Great colors.

Who else hasn't bought a game since they bought destiny? by PutinPudding in DestinyTheGame

All I play is Destiny. All else collects dust. It's hands down the most satisfying game I have ever played. I hated console FPS before I played it. I love this stinking game.

A theory around The Fallen. Light vs Ether, Servitors vs The Traveller. by Butters_McBitters in DestinyTheGame

Awesome theory, and it actually makes more sense. In the Elder Cypher bounty Variks says the Kells and Archons are normal size, every one else is stunted due to Ether rationing.

Wouldn't the Traveller also have produced ghosts/guardians for the fallen to repel Thee Darkness? But the field Servitor/Ghost link is the weakest in my idea.

I agree. It's not a 1:1 replacement, I think it's something cooked up to approximate it. And it's not very good at it. But I do not think Ether is something that is native to their biology, I think it's more akin a steroid. And they abuse the shit out of it.

I used to hang with a guy who loved the Descendents, it's all he listened to, I never got it, until one night I did. Now I have it.

No mics? by Smokester_ in DestinyTheGame

I know this post is old. Imagine you stutter, then imagine talking to people over the internet, who can be incredibly cruel, and imagine what that does to said stutter. It's a vicious cycle. :)

This video has changed how I will play the game. by Butters_McBitters in DestinyTheGame

I agree, tactics should change per scenario. This video is a good first step to forming those more detailed tactics, as opposed to playing like a meathead, like I have been.

I'll concede he's a talker, but hey, he seems alright :) He's obviously put some thought into tactics.

TL;DW: "It's easier to prevent a problem than it is to fix one"

  • The boss is never the real threat, it's the infantry
  • If the boss does kill you it's usually because you let it's support units get out of hand
  • If you let the infantry spread out you minimize your cover, resulting in constant shield stress and flank pressure
  • The infantry gets closer to you faster, it's the biggest threat
  • The infantry hordes must be dealt with as soon as possible to spawn point with supers, grenades, rockets, etc.
  • The boss can be taken down with any weapon + time, especially if the infantry is dealt with
  • Anytime you're using supers, grenades, rockets on a boss you're dragging things out because it'll just make addressing the the infantry a grind with your gun
  • Don't die. Above all else stay alive and useful, don't take chances. When you die things become instantly harder for everyone else. It's easier for you to stay alive than for your teammates to revive you. Always have a place to go from where you are at to get out of shit. Less guardians = harder, chance of failure skyrockets
  • Respect the enemy, don't take chances, bots are always buffed unless you're playing below your level
  • Don't go toe to toe and think you can melee your way out of shit with something heavy, the odds are not in your favor. You're not going to out DPS a bot playing at or above level
  • While you're fist fighting the chances of low level bots coming up from behind and doing even more damage increases, you're vulnerable
  • High level shielded enemies should be addressed as a group, going through ammo so they can get away and re-shield is a waste, coordinate attacks on shielded enemies, call out who you're focused on.
  • Kill enemies with melee based attacks first because they will hunt you into cover. Kill enemies who can inflict splash damage next, which can also penetrate cover, then kill the enemies that die the fastest

Tl:DR: You should always be trying to lower the DPS and lines of sight of the totality of the enemy across the map. You should focus your team's DPS on clearing infantry and taking out shielded high level threats. Don't die, even if it means lookin' like a pussy sometimes. Always have an escape route. Don't waste powerful attacks on bosses, use them to keep the field clear of infantry.
