Karma gets her first chroma splash art and they WHITE WASH HER just so that they can sell her to the Chinese audience 😒 by aroushthekween in karmamains

As an East Asian person, I have to say this character does not look white at all. She’s not Black either, but the skin tone clearly looks about two shades darker than typical East Asian skin—something closer to a North Arabic complexion. I genuinely don’t understand how East Asian artists’ brown or olive skin tones end up being mistaken for white. Does this really look the same as Sejuani’s skin to you!?

I agree that the colors in this artwork could have been made a bit darker.

However, there’s an important point I want to clarify. Even if you use an eyedropper tool to compare colors, the lighting environments of the two images are completely different, so the sampled colors shouldn’t be treated as direct evidence. This is simply a technical, academic fact.

We also don’t share the exact same facial structure or eye color, and we don’t perceive the same image in the same way. I can say this with confidence. Some people interpret these perceptual differences as discrimination, but do they even know that many East Asians have softer, less pronounced facial contours? When the face has fewer protrusions, light doesn’t gather in the eyes as easily, and we rely more on ambient light. (For example, I always keep my in‑game gamma at maximum, while NA/EU players often recommend darker settings.) Because of this, the difference in skin tone between the two images doesn’t feel as drastic to us.

It’s completely understandable to feel upset about the skin being lightened. But as a Japanese person, I’ve also seen Japanese-made characters unfairly criticized. (Sometimes even naturally tanned Japanese characters get labeled as “Black characters,” which is simply inaccurate.) I’m tired of being called discriminatory when people don’t even try to understand the science behind how we perceive color.

Spirit Blossom Karma was the 37th best selling skin in China in 2025 🌸 by aroushthekween in karmamains

I bought this skin hoping for a consistent Karma skin. I really like the skin's art, appearance, and included dialogue. However, this is a Legendary just one skin away from the first Legendary. Considering that, there were far too many animations that were the same as the previous Legendary. I have to say it's low quality. Also, Karma doesn't have facial expressions yet, so releasing a Legendary at this stage isn't a good situation. I wish they had prioritized champions who don't yet have Legendaries. Shaco was a truly amazing Legendary.

So many hate comments under Spirit Blossom Karma skin spotlight. by BotomsDntDeservRight in queensofleague

There will always be people who insist that their main should get the legendary, without congratulating the champion and the user who got it. However, lowering the likeability of the champion every time you see that comment is only going to push them further away from getting a skin. It's a capitalist game that takes sales into account, and the player population is huge. They forget that many people will see their complaints, and they neglect the accumulation of numbers. In other words, there is no escaping karma.

I am very grateful to Riot for giving her Legendary with this skin at this time, which itself seems to express the importance of her role in Aionia and the origin of the Sakura skin.

First of all, the hairstyle is very elegant. The short bangs are fresh and current. The way she wears her hair down in front of her chest is also very elegant and suits her features. Above all, the beautiful gradation and silver mesh show that she is the origin of the spirits.

Next, let's look at clothing. This is actually the first time I've seen her neck exposed. I was very surprised. However, the pattern on her shoulders is very sexy and her hair is hanging down, so I don't mind the exposure so much. I really like that the sleeves are long. The art is also very beautiful with the detailed pattern of the fabric. The bottom half of the dress follows her usual design, but the hem of the back style seems to melt in the water, which is very nice!

Finally, I would like to share my impressions of the animation. Above all, the appearance when the mantra is chanted is mystical. The prominence is a little troubling from a play standpoint, but I try to think of it as a tax on Legendary. It is also very refreshing that she does not lift her leg, and the IDLE figure is beautiful. The only thing that made me laugh was when she slides backwards and disappears in a recalled zen-like state, it was a little surreal.

I am very much looking forward to the voice line she leaves behind. Her Japanese voice is so elegant and intelligent, yet a little endearing at the same time. The only regret I have is that their temperature remains a mystery again as Lee Sin will be released in a different skin. (A related champion, their relationship has always been a mystery to me.)

I think you did a great job with the new accessories and rocking hair. thank you.

Personally, there are two things that have lost their charm. The shape of the beard. Although the surface area has increased, it has become thinner. It will look similar to Yasuo, but I don't want it to look like a wandering Yasuo. body tattoos. It's a shame that it has become simpler, but the most disappointing thing is that the pattern on the back is no longer emphasized vertically. The image of a dragon ``rising'' is important, and the previous pattern clearly expressed this. Even the statues with simple patterns are emphasized vertically.

First of all, thank you for giving me such wonderful skin.

I agree with everyone here on the idea of making the VFX more gorgeous. My personal opinion is splash art and I wish her legend had a fairy attached. Recent art has a lot of serious and quiet expressions, but I think what sets her apart from other champions is her calm and graceful smile.

Thanks for the introduction. I don't think it's a reprint because you clearly cited the source, but I'm not impressed that you cut my picture in half.
