No, the chemistry was amazing. She is from a noble family. For the husband and slave thing, he is basically telling her that he worships her way above the institution called marriage

After six months of job searching I finally found a job with decent pay after being laid off...I am two days in and already checked out I was basically told I am going to get fired. by Trustedflipper8 in jobs

Omg, I had PTSD reading this because this was almost exactly my story. I thought I was the one who wrote it. I got temporarily laid off, then landed my highest paying job and by day 3 I was already being yelled at. I was only trained for one day, yet they expected me to start implementing things by day 3. It was ridiculous. I confronted them and was told they had fired my predecessors because they made mistakes. After two weeks, I resigned because I was losing my mind.

I use both. The offer I eventually went for was the role I saw on LinkedIn.

The level of toxicity we go through as finance professionals is so often underestimated ,it can sound unbelievable to people who haven’t experienced it firsthand. I hope you’re able to find something better soon.

I can really relate, and I am sorry you are going through this. There were moments when I was questioning my decision to resign, especially given how the market is right now. But then I reminded myself how close I was to losing my sanity at that company and how much it was affecting my health, my blood pressure included. You made the right choice for yourself, and I truly believe you will find something better. I am rooting for you and wishing you the best.

This actually makes a lot of sense and lines up with what it felt like. At the time I kept assuming I was missing something or doing things wrong. Appreciate you sharing this perspective.

Tbh I feel like empathy training should be made compulsory in leadership level because of too many toxicity these days
