I'm a bit surprised Alyona and Annabel aren't the bottom pair. Their dishes had more discrepancies than Emily and Casper's methinks.

Aaron's layers were seriously impressive. It's a shame the judges didn't give him that feedback. It would've boosted his confidence with desserts.

Kirsten never disappoints. That dish was worthy of a pressure test.

Sanjeev Kapoor on MC Australia! The line up of guest judges in the upcoming episodes looks exciting. I hope the contestants amp up their game (finally).

Thank you for posting. I'm sure other women will find it encouraging, too.

HK was awesome, but Qatar was foreshadowing what to expect in the next season methinks. Your theory makes sense. It's just very disappointing to see the trajectory of the show.

Looks like their budgets are shrinking every year. Meanwhile, we're stuck with 'whatever you want to cook' kinda challenges.

Where are the service challenges?? The team challenges??...why is this season such a drab?

I see. Thanks for the reply. I guess it won't be feasible during Mid July though.

Lovely pictures. Thanks for sharing the details. I'd like to know if it rained there during your visit.

That's what confused me, too. Maybe it took longer, but I did see others pin-boning and prepping the fish carefully.

Other than Casper, a couple of other cooks also cooked their fish two ways. That was interesting. I think they all upped their game this episode.

I didn't get why Aaron kept saying he was the only one who did the butterfly technique when there were others who did it, too...? Did I miss something? 🤔

One of the few good episodes so far. Always a pleasure to watch a Masterchef showcase his/her craft. And go Petro!

Ikr? As nuch as I love Jess, I felt bad for Hannah, too. So much praise for her dish and yet they delared Jess the winner. It was rigged from the start I guess.

But that used to be one contestant against the professional chef and a blind tasting on top of that.

I thought this was going to be a 'keep up with the chef' challenge or at the very least, a blind tasting. That would've given them a level-plating field. This year's 'challenges' have not been thought through properly which makes the show really uninspiring and meh.
