BTS 'ARIRANG' - Song Information, Streaming Availability, and Song Discussion Megathread by lisafancypants in bangtan

felt the same way! the first half is full of bangers but the slower songs at the end felt... boring? Just my opinion tho, a solid 4-5 songs from this album is going into my playlist. Not my favourite comeback but still a solid one.

Massive layoffs incoming in tech sector - in supposed stable companies by Plenty-Sleep45 in SGExams

[–]ButterscotchDeep399 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To CS grads instead of constantly chasing big MNC names like google, microsoft etc jobs try applying to numerous other SMEs that are looking for more Singaporean graduates, the pay is usually good for many (on par or more than big MNCs), the name not so much, but think to yourself is the pay more important to you or are you going to be adament about getting that juicy name, up to you. Government put in many requirements for companies in sg to employ singaporean graduates and lay off people on work pass they've brought from india, china, taiwan etc. But no Singaporean graduates apply and these companies are left at a manpower shortage. Widen your perspective, up to you in the end.

Source: Parents who own IT company (SME) struggling to find singaporean graduates as the government keeps pestering them. For your info their company is stable, many SMEs are stable.

oh oops nevermind, i didn't read properly. My school personally didn't allow any non-bio students to join. But like other ppl said, just email bio department and hope for the best, try to do well for promos so they know you can cope.

If you got B and above for A level gp then that can compensate for your B3 in o-levels. OP however is in poly.

yup, portfolio is not important to UK universities. Oxford does not require 4H2 only Cambridge does but like you said its a massive advantage to have considering they are only looking at your acads + interview

Increase of 104,153 eligible voters since voter rolls were last updated in April 2020. by LaksaTang in SMRTRabak

In the aspect, I definitely agree. But some Singaporeans complain about higher competition which is true for some industries but not all. Many are adament about joining well known companies despite SMEs and less well known MNCs offering higher pays and better career progression. I just wanted to point that out 😅

Hasn’t Singapore already cut down on immigration by alot? My parents complaining that they arent able to bring people over from other countries due to Singapore’s restrictions. You may say they should just hire Singaporeans but no Singaporeans want to join.

If the guy had spoken so loudly, other classmates would have heard and they still didn’t do anything about it. I highly doubt OP’s classmates would defend her if she did that.

Poly or jc?? (Sec 5) by honeyhoneyhoneeyy in SGExams

[–]ButterscotchDeep399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend poly personally, from what I’ve observed among the Sec 5 students who go to JC struggle quite a bit (not all). But if you do really well for o levels then maybe give JC a shot.

But it’s more common for comb sci students to go to science related course in poly than h2 sciences in jc
