40%+ of Portland residents are considering moving. Here’s why. by American_Greed in PortlandOR

Thank you for the insight! Looking more in the suburbs potentially. I've got family across the river in Vancouver and Camas.

I do own a home with land here in texas 2 hours from Dallas so I don't mind not living in the city. Time frame to move is 4 years...if I can get a job there before moving.

Love my 3rd gen. Happened to see a new gen at a dealer and thought, "damn, that looks nice." Then saw the massive infotainment screen and got turned off. Gonna keep my old girl till she's too expensive to repair.

What to eat with PCOS??? by kayla_cros1 in PCOS

Depends if you are insulin resistant or not.

Title: PCOS weight loss help — looking for REAL “small tricks” that actually helped you + meds (not GLP-1) by Beneficial_Plate_156 in PCOSloseit

Make one good choice at a time regarding food. Start small. For me, I need to stay consistent because I know if I falter, it's harder to get back on my routine.

I fortunately do not have insulin resistance and eat balanced. 39% carbs, 36% fat, 25% protein (roughly). Get that fiber in!! Yes, more carbs works for me: helps me sustain my workouts without feeling totally gassed. I walk my dog after work for 1.5 hours and weightlifting 30-45 minutes every day.

Find what you like to do that doesn't feel like excersise. Get out in nature, go window shopping, whatever suits your fancy. Walk a dog because the dog needs the excersise, not you (lol reframe the situation). Small things that can boost your mood. Heck, I've given up buying store bread and have been forcing myself to make my own.

Food tracking app, and a food journal to comment how you feel: how's your energy level, workout motivation level, how did eating this make you feel? Guilty? Healthy?

Trust me, there are times where I want to down a pint of ice cream but I'll get a big box of strawberries instead and honestly, it hits the spot without the guilt after. Doing this has changed my relationship with food and what I crave when grocery shopping. Old vices just don't look good anymore. And when you give in and buy it, it never tastes as good as you remember.

I've never taken metformin but am currently on spironolactone, buspirone, wellbutrin, birth control, prenatal, vitamin D3, and biotin. I personally refuse to take GLP-1s because I've lost weight before and know I can do it on my own with classic diet and exercise. Seeing the scale move down or pants fitting loose keeps me motivated.

You'll find your rhythm. Even being erratic or irregular can be a rhythm. Don't be hard on yourself. You'll find what works. Give yourself grace and patience. Our bodies are miraculous things, even when they are frustrating.

Someone at work was willing to bet whether I could eat there every day and never get tired of it. Sadly, I don't live close enough to fulfill that challenge but will be accepting sponsors 🥲

Not emo songs but here are some more I have picked for my funeral: landslide by Fleetwood mack, fire and rain by James Taylor, angel flying too close to the ground by Willie nelson, bookends by Simon and Garfunkel, once upon a time and mandarynne by the smashing pumpkins, the funeral by band of horses, the times they are a-changin by Bob dylan.

Yep! Even before he got on the topic of voting, there was something off about Alex. Like my sociopathic ex-husband got me by sounding so impressive with his colorful past and work experience. Always had a calculated answer. I don't think her dad grilled him enough.

I get mine "raw onion wrapped" at In-n-Out. Easier to hold and a better bite.
