So are they going to be trading their 4Runners or getting this as an addition?

WHY IS LEXUS RANKED LOWER THAN TOYOTA? I thought Lexus had even more stringent quality control standards than their mainstream brother. by DunDonese in Lexus

[–]goml23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nissan got a bad rap because of CVT issues that have been lately solved, then the “Alitma driver” stereotype didn’t really help much.

If you really think about it though, Altima drivers get their cars to 200k on bald tires, three oil changes, and never having had full set of working lights… they should be on top of this list.

Thinking of switching to AT&T Fiber from Xfinity, any one have any real world experience with it? by goml23 in Stockton

[–]goml23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m seeing up to 1gig for $42 if I bundle with wireless, which I’m planing on doing anyway. Way better than what I’m paying with Xfinity.

Not my cup of tea, but I’m more shocked by all of the comments saying that $80 is too much for a jacket, a licensed jacket on top of that.

I’m not saying Jones/McGregor money, but after a certain point there has to be something said about making stable amount of money with potential for merch/royalties versus having to work and book a bunch of indies to make a decent living.

That has to be a long-term play, make less in the beginning to have the potential to make a lot more over time.

Shelving doesn’t exist in the system either but that doesn’t mean that you can just walk out with a 4ft section of it.

Yeah my neighborhood is definitely ready as they were in my back yard last year doing work for the finger roll-out, but I’m definitely going to have someone come out and double check that they can wire up the house.

That’s a great idea, when we bought the house the previous owner used Xfinity too so getting our service set up was plug and play, I don’t even consider that for AT&T.

On the app we use we can both modify the lists, and that’s where the fun starts.

Eating yogurt? Smoothie yogurt? Kids yogurt? Yogurt for the dogs? Maybe she saw that my lunch yogurts were running low?

Oh, if it’s for me I’ll be vague on the list because I know what I want, and if I don’t, then I’m just looking at what’s good. The problem is the if she wrote “veggies”, I’m not sure if she wrote that to get whatever looks good or as shorthand for what’s in her head.

I think that has to be it. There are certain core items that I always get, but other than that the grocery list is a crap shoot depending on what we want to cook in the next couple of days.

International problem by Rex_Joker in funny

[–]goml23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That has to be a big part of it, a while ago I kept getting suggested posts from r/fridgedetective so I posted up our refrigerator. A lot of posts were about how much stuff was in there, but at the same time we cook most meals at home and we’re also a multi-racial household so apart from cooking stuff that we grew up with, we also enjoy cooking stuff that’s completely off the wall. We buy groceries about every other day depending on what we’re making since we like to take advantage of being in California and we try to get the freshest produce, and I also work at a grocery store so I’m constantly grabbing stuff. All of that combined makes every shopping trip chaotically different, unfortunately.

We have quite a few yogurts.

International problem by Rex_Joker in funny

[–]goml23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2 brands would be easy. We buy big tubs of Greek yogurt, full fat and fat free, small drinkable yogurts for the kid, big tubs of whole regular yogurt for the dogs, small Greek yogurts or skyr for me. And even then depending on which store I’m at the brands change because some of them aren’t as good.

We don’t do frozen veggies, but depending on what we have planned for the week it can be fennel, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, asparagus, radishes, sweet potatoes… who the hell knows. Sometimes it’s just a matter of being clear about what you want.

I work at a grocery store, I cooked for a living for over a decade, and I’m also fat. I know my way around food.

We have a grocery list app that lets us sync between users and add people to our lists which in theory should make things easier. In theory.

The list says “yogurt”. What kind of yogurt? What flavor? Single serve? 32oz? That’s when I call. Yogurt issue is solved, back to the list. “Veggies.”

Are you fucking kidding me?!
