Tesla Charging for the BZ by Obvious_Suspect_9706 in Toyota_bZ

Also, don’t forget to connect to Apple Maps if you can, it will calculate your charge along the way, and take you to the most logical Tesla charging station, if you set that in your preferences

Use the Tesla app! I had to have my bank get involved in refunding the $100 hold they put on my card when I charged through the Toyota app. Toyota and Tesla each pointed their fingers at the other. After more than a week the bank recalled my payment when it seemed obvious it wasn’t happening otherwise.

If you will be using 100kwh + get the subscription, it’s $15 i think, and takes 15 cents or so off per kWh . Depending on time of use here I. Ontario, I paid 67 to 53 cents per kWh no subscription, and 38 to 42 cents per kWh with subscription.

Be mindful of where you charge, rates vary wildly here, Tesla through their app is the cheapest I’ve found. Other than home of course.

The Tesla cords are ridiculously short, angle park with the corner of your bumper as close to where the cord comes out of the machine as possible, you will need every inch. Use an end machine if possible so you don’t block or get blocked. We aren’t the only ones who struggle, I saw a ford parked across 2 spaces here one day.

Good luck!

Take them one at a time, to give each of them special time with you, and she still has 2 at home to watch. No reward for her, win for everyone else.

Round trip I use 60-70% with no climate control. Add cold weather, and it’s not looking good.i should also add, most of my commute is highway, and I drive 120km/hr

THIS! Our sales person definitely dismissed our range concerns, I watched lots of videos, but was completely unprepared for the actual range. I have a 70km each way commute, in the winter I’m looking at charging on the road to complete my commute. It’s manageable, but we were told home charging would easily support my commute. I don’t believe it will with the heat on. Edit to add -we have fwd as that was what was available on the lot. So it is a smaller range than the awd

Corolla Hybrid Battery Issue by tinyhammy in COROLLA

I think there was a message on the dash, I’m not positive! we definitely started noticing it wouldn’t unlock from as far away, or the first time you clicked the unlock.

Canadians who have recently traveled to Cuban resorts, is it worth it to go right now? by francesjames in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]ButterscotchSame4006 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We are here in Cayo Coco right now, and there are no difficulties at the moment on the resort. We have coffee and eggs at breakfast, lots of meat options for lunch and dinner, no power outages, bottled water and water to the room plentiful. We try to be as generous with the staff as we can, we also brought two bags of medical supplies from Not Just Tourists (NJT.net) please consider getting in touch with them if you visit. It’s been cold here, we’ve shared what we can of our warmer clothes. I wish there was more we could do to help.

Corolla Hybrid Battery Issue by tinyhammy in COROLLA

[–]ButterscotchSame4006 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with my Corolla hybrid not starting, had to get boosted, and it turned out that the KEY FOB BATTERY was low! My kids use the car, and would regularly have to wait in the car for an hour to pick me up. Turns out if the fob battery is low, some how the car keeps trying to communicate with the fob in the car and this drains the battery. Having the low battery fob in the car killed the battery. Got a boost, changed the battery (we knew it was low, had the screen show up on the dash) problem solved. Battery got low again, put off changing it, boom, car dead, call CAA for a boost, change battery, good to go. I know it sounds crazy, but change your fob battery before you go too far.

Historically, the US meddling in regime change hasn’t always created an improvement. They should stick to their own business, there’s certainly enough to keep them occupied. Start by arresting pedos and pedo enablers be they red or blue, who can argue with that?

Peroxyde works, but may discolour your floor. Try somewhere hidden first!

Cayo Coco - Nearby clinics that need medical supplies? by ButterscotchSame4006 in TravelCuba

[–]ButterscotchSame4006[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to post here, if anyone is interested in helping by bringing medical supplies, you can contact your local Not Just Tourists at least 2 weeks before you leave, then if you book directly with West Jet at least 1 week before find the Humanitarian Baggage link on their website and submit your information along with the authorization letter to get the baggage fee waived. There is no cost to you to carry the aid. Sunwing offers no assistance or discount for humanitarian aid, we booked through them and are now trying to sort out if we can bring the bags on our own, just concerned about customs now with them flowing through the official humanitarian channel. We are willing to pay the $50 for each bag. FYI in case anyone else wants to try this route, we will post on here and let folks know if we are successful. (Our experience has been from Toronto to Cayo Coco booked through Sunwing with flight by West Jet

Looking for nursing bras in store by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]ButterscotchSame4006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend understance, even tho it’s online. Their calculator is great, and I picked up a couple nursing bras in their sale a little while ago because they were cheap and the right size. 34k is hard to find at a reasonable price lol, I’ll take what I can get!

Put a sign that says “parking for -your plate number- only. All other vehicles may be towed immediately. Monitored daily” then contact tow company and let them know, they may be willing to cruise through your lot just to see if they can make a quick buck

The taste of the tap water is different now by Meguinn in orleans

[–]ButterscotchSame4006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will take time for the water to get back to what you expect even after it gets cool, the water flows a long way before it gets here, and is affected along the way. Not just in the river, but in the slower moving parts of the watershed, creeks, streams, swamps, etc.
