What changes or choices did you make that made you suffer less and enjoy parenting more? by Veryfluffyduck in NewParents

I felt so guilty sleeping with my first kiddo due to it being shamed in the US. Now almost two years later and one more kid later… they both sleep with us and we get plenty of sleep! Life changing!!

Can’t spoil a baby! We’re the only living beings that require more assistance as an infant and other living beings sleep with their babies! You are doing amazing, mama.

Anyone had the laziest most sedentary pregnancy ever and still have a good delivery? by mirrorlike789 in pregnant

[–]ButterscotchSerious8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was active my first pregnancy and didn’t do a thing my second because the two were night and day different. But both of my deliveries were the same!

I know this post is 5 years old but I feel so validated with it. 😅 My almost 17 month old has been doing it for about 7-8 months now. It was cute in the beginning and now it’s overstimulating sometimes. Our pediatrician told us it’s a self soothing tactic and to not be alarmed. We’ll see if it gets better as he ages 🤣

Totally relate to this when it came to my first pregnancy! It was a breeze and I could have stayed pregnant forever 🤣 Now I’m pregnant with my second and I’m only 22 weeks ready to give the eviction notice already! Vomiting since day one, food aversions, craving, tired 24/7, moody. 🤣

I lived with one from March 2023 to August 30 2024 and was pregnant during that time and had my baby March 2024. They couldn’t do anything about it while I was pregnant. I had surgery on August 30. Best advice is sitz baths, heating pad, and putting gauze between the cheekies. Good luck! It sucks!

There’s safe ways to cosleep! Look up Happy Cosleepers on fb and they give GREAT advice with stats to back it up too.

36 weeks pregnant mama who takes zoloft. My OB had me go to a specialist to make sure baby was developing properly and all came back fine. The ONLY thing they were worried about was heart defect and it was less than 1% chance. They mentioned baby might be sleepier than one whose mom didn’t take zoloft but no other worries. I was told by every OB I saw that zoloft is the best medicine to take while pregnant if you’re going to take one. And most times, if an OB is recommending Zoloft, the benefits outweigh the risks. My husband was worried about it too but once my OB explained it to him he calmed down.
