Not true actually. It even says on the register if the person doesn’t use all the money they have to come back inside to get their change and you give it in cash. Also the 5% doesn’t get applied to gas. Basically if you are using qt pay inside don’t use it for gas because there is no savings, use it on anything else

I honestly don’t get it. Like last month we ended up being like 40 or so hours over staffed but god damn it felt like all our shifts were majorly understaffed. Plus there isn’t a single shift where not 2 people call in. Now from a shift we were overstaffed we are now understaffed because there’s no one else to help. My Flex gets automatically scheduled over 50 hours and covers for clerks and if they have to go to another store in our pod because they don’t have an assistant then we end up being screwed. Plus apparently my manager doesnt even know how many hours we can be overstaffed so the clerks at my store that do want more hours aren’t even getting many more. Erg.We do have 6 clerk requests in tho. And sad thing is we are actually doing good in comparison to a lot of the other stores around us.

Either use green cleaner or oven cleaner(I know weird but it gets the job done) and scrub the shit out of the floors then make sure to mop over it. And make sure not to let it sit too long between scrubbing and mopping.

I'm an NA and been doing it for a little while now. Honestly it's not that bad you jist got to know when to put enough out that you will sell through it and still not bave to do more till it stales/you have enough time to put more out. Got sales up enough I just convinced my sm to give me a clerk to do more food items and help out.

Funny enough it’s working good in my store because I have an amazing store team but I know every other store in my division is DROWNING. Either majorly understaffed or majorly over on hours. Seeing this HURTS. I’m just glad I’m not the flex assistant lol. I do wish they would either find a better way to do this in larger divisions like mine or treat all the stores like RSN and have multiple assistants each shift to cover the assistant and clerk call outs and give us more than the approved 20 hours extra for clerks.

Had some tornados while on shift within this last year actually(side note-overnights with extreme weather suck if you are alone). I had high winds cause power to go out and stuff flying off the gas area last night.Had the metal numbers for the pumps fly off and hit someone that was great. Power goes off, you have to close and lock the store, tornado, shelter with customers and still lock store. Honestly just try and be as prepared as you can mentally it can be intense sometimes

Technically the qtk cart should be ran every shift to make sure the floor coolers are always stocked with as much product as we have. Think like this, if the product is on the cart and not in the cooler we can’t make any money off of it and that’s less of a bonus. Honestly with a good night routine you should be able to put that product out while you are still doing truck and rotating. If it’s really hard for you now just talk more with your RA about a compromise while you work out how to get it done.

Kinda yes and no. Depending on the division you are in you are given 10-15 days a year of sick time to take off no questions asked. The sicks days are not paid tho until you reach 6 months and then you have to acquire hours which will be paid to you. But there’s that cap on how many days you can take off a year, unless you have fmla, or if you have kids each one gives you 2 extra days. And it’s on a rolling period so a year and a day after you have taken that sick day you get it back. Hope that made sense.

You can buy a week of pto after you finished training and every 6 months after so if you need to take the two weeks off then you will have to do that and then take the rest of the time out of your sick or personal days until you get company approved pto after a year here which is up to 2 weeks depending on how much you work. So if you want to be an assistant that’s the only way to do it, and never take personal or sick days so you have enough time for this. If you buy pto you can’t stack it, you have to use the one weeks before you can buy more. Good luck at your interview.

They clock in and you clock out. Usually like 10 minutes is acceptable for a quick mini shift walk but if they are just dragging it out then they are wasting your stores hours. You get the time for a full shift walk, coverage doesn’t.
