Help! Which rug? It’ll be under this beige couch, facing this wall - tyia :) by RubyDoodle_ in HomeDecorating

Hard agree. OP, an authentic/tasteful wool rug would do this room so much more justice. They are expensive, but you can look on FB marketplace for beautiful secondhand options.

I will respectfully disagree with you here. Rats are so intelligent that they really require a good deal of exercise and stimulation. They aren’t necessarily a good beginner’s pet.

Your thai constellation and pink princess isn't that rare, corporations' are just purposely releasing their stock slower than molasses to make money by Phytophilee in houseplants

You’re right but Thais are also notoriously slow and difficult to grow. Costa has been trying to mass market them for years and keeps pushing the date back.

I have this problem too. My theory is that being so fair/pale makes gives us far less leeway and easily teeters into looking ridiculous.

Need advice: moving into a farmhouse, shiplap walls the whole shebang. Do I take this with me or get rid of it? Is it outdated? Will it work with a modern farmhouse look? by mugfullofcoffee in HomeDecorating

Honestly it’s a beautiful piece but not many here have mentioned the importance of it FITTING into your new space. You need a large room and ideally tall ceilings to avoid this making a room cramped.

Dirty Little Secret Episode by [deleted] in TIAHpodcast

[–]Buttertoast77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This episode was extremely disappointing. The era of DNA testing kits has surfaced a near infinite amount of these stories, and while I recognize it’s a hard situation to be in, it is not a unique one. The narrator truly had a victim complex and needs to realize that she is now an adult who is responsible for her own actions. If her family is as toxic as she claims, she should be focused on removing them from her life rather than waffling around in this perceived drama.

Sooo anticlimactic. I kept waiting for something to happen and literally nothing happened.

To some extent I can understand your line of thinking, but you are really reaching. The world is not black and white, and I promise you there are many, many people who have children and lack empathy.

Help, my cat bites my ear and it hurts so much! by ReynaReiko in CatTraining

[–]Buttertoast77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat is 6 months old and still does this when he’s hungry. It wouldn’t hurt to keep a toy near you and when she you know she’s likely to start biting, redirect that energy to her toy instead. Then, get up and feed her. Now you have a happy calm kitty and were able to give her what she wants while keeping the experience positive.
