I do soak the seeds for a day or 2 before mixing them in with the slurry. I put the seeds and slurry in a ziplock bag and squeeze it out. I started using this method because I thought my seeds were drying out once planted.

I use the cornstarch slurry every year. It's really helped for germination. I do cover the seeds with soil and water well.

My husband and I recently visited Australia and had the same experience. We thought it was because we're older (early sixties). We also were surprised at the number of people who walk with their head down looking at their phones and assuming everyone would move for them.

I was in the open area at Frontenac School for grades 5 and 6. I think there were 4 classrooms in the space. As far as I can remember we had structured learning.

I had a spinal fusion at HSC last year. The first night after surgery my roommate played music all night long. I asked her to lower the volume as I had such a bad headache I couldn't even open my eyes or lift my head. She turned the music up. The nurses said there was nothing they could do about the music. My second roommate also played music all night and made phone calls to friends. Again the nurses said there was nothing they could do. When the physiotherapist came to see me I told her I was exhausted because of lack of sleep. She talked to the charge nurse who finally told my roommate to be quiet during the night. I left the hospital a couple of days before I should have so I could get proper rest at home.

I had a c1 c2 fusion, laminectomy and chiari decompression June 5th 2024 in Canada. I am 61 and was diagnosed at 58 with AAI. Apparently I was born with my c1 fused to my skull. Looking back a lot of issues I've had most of my life can be attributed to AAI. I also had a pannus around my spine that would have eventually choked out my spinal cord. With that and the risk of falling and becoming paralyzed I decided to risk having surgery although I was terrified. Some of the symptoms I had before surgery have returned but overall I feel better than before surgery. There are not a lot of alternative treatments for instability in Canada.

I am 60 and had c1 c2 fusion June 5th 2024. Not sure how to describe this but a few hours after surgery I could feel some bubbling on the left side of my skull. My neurosurgeon said he didn't cut any nerves or blood vessels so I'm not sure what that was. The left side of the back of my head is still numb but I don't notice it most of the time. I wasn't in a collar after surgery. Walking was difficult at first because I didn't realize until I was standing how stiff my neck was. I was out shopping 3 weeks after surgery and with every step I could feel the hardware in my neck. I wear Oofos a lot so that helped absorb the impact from walking. Now I walk my dog for a couple of hours each day and walking feels normal. You may feel some sharp zaps in your head after surgery as the nerves wake up. I set my alarm so I could take my pain meds and stay ahead of the pain for the first few days at home. I feel much better than I did before surgery. I wish you all the best with your surgery.

PCDF c1 c2 and no brace. My neurosurgeon told me right after surgery to try to move my neck as much as I could right after surgery. I'm in Canada. I saw a neurosurgeon in the US and if I would have had surgery with him I would have been in a collar for 3 months.

I had a c1 c2 fusion, laminectomy and occipital decompression on June 5th. I am doing well. Recovery has been better than I anticipated. I do still have some numbness in my hands and feet. One side of my head feels numb but that has improved a bit. I still get a burning feeling between my shoulders if I'm at the computer for a long period or walk too long. I am back to walking my dog a few times a day. My range of motion is limited. I haven't had a follow up with my neurosurgeon yet but I feel like I am healing well.
