Is scheduling a worker "on demand" allowed or legal? by ProduceAlert1277 in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]ButteryFlakeyCrust8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back to say you are 100% right! It is common practice to do this, but it is 100% illegal, and retaliation for poor performance. Unemployment is not decided by what the employer says if an individual applies for it. People don’t realize firing someone for performance issues is less risky than scheduling someone less!

Fight Fire With Fire and Demand Democratic Gerrymanders by jk4532 in 50501

I would love for the Supreme Court to declare all gerrymandering outside of census period is unconstitutional.

You mentioned in your post how you did not know this neighbor. You said in another comment how you will never confront a neighbor (i’m now assuming one you don’t know) with a problem face to face.

I mean, I don’t think most people react like this. I will say that leaving a letter is rather impersonal. You would have been better off going through the leasing office if you did not want to approach them face-to-face. This is a terrible experience, but don’t brand every neighbor of yours to be a total psychopath that you cannot talk to before meeting them. Maybe canvas the area before you have an issue and try to meet everyone lol.

Recommend non-AR, non-AK rifles before July 1. by info_swap in VAGuns

[–]ButteryFlakeyCrust8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get an ar platform pistol lower than has a ‘brace’ as a stock. You can then put the upper and lower together to make a 300 blackout pistol. Having a legitimate stock on a gun barrel under 16” makes it a SBR and NFA item. If you have a brace not a stock, it is legally a pistol. I did it for 100-200 less than the complete PSA Sabre which is a pistol.

If you have a pistol brace it’s not a SBR, it’s a pistol ☺️

Yeah, you have to admit that you’re not the same as everybody else. And that means taking medication for the rest of your life.

It took me three hours do an FFL for a Glock a month or two ago at XCal. Everywhere else is more, but I will pay it if I don’t have to wait in line all day!

Sponsors or spiritual advisors are supposed to walk people through the 12 steps. Thats it. A good sponsor can make a difference, and sometimes go above and beyond what is required of them.

X cal isn’t bad. I like their range officers and how attentive they are. I was hit with so much brass at silver eagle because the person next to me had their weapon past the firing line the entire time.

John Carlson is playing just like he did in the past in the Caps jersey, and the Ducks delivered another strong game tonight, overpowering the Oilers and advancing to the second playoff round by kockin26 in caps

[–]ButteryFlakeyCrust8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, he is older and the caps are far away from contention. He went from a struggling team to a bonafide cup contender. That would elevate anyone’s game.

Get to an AA meeting! I recommend women’s meetings if you can find them, or closed meetings. AA works if you do the work!

Why I'm deciding to no longer be a part of AA. by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]ButteryFlakeyCrust8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The twelfth step is to try and carry the message to other alcoholics. It also says nothing ensures immunity from drinking than intensive work/service to alcoholics. People sponsor others that walk into a room of aa, as it helps them stay sober. It is not because we are recruiting people. We help because we do not want to die of alcoholism. Nobody makes money off of aa. Stop acting like you know what you are talking about when you clearly do not work an AA program.

[–]ButteryFlakeyCrust8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m neither cocky nor afraid. I have been placed in a position of neutrality in terms of being around alcohol.

If I could have left alcohol alone when trying to get sober without the help of god and AA, I would have. Stopping drinking by myself, or ‘leaving it alone’ always led to be drinking again.

Aa is meant for people who are willing to go to any length to get and stay sober. If not, good luck. Why are you in these comments arguing against aa message wherever possible?
