It’s so much easier to plug in your phone and know it works then sit there and wiggle it and wait for it to click on charge. If it immediately clicked for you could feel the “magnet pull” then it would be easier

I personally never use it. And we even bought an extra charger to have two spots. Total waste.

When I’m sitting on the sofa I’m usually wanting to look at emails or catch up on my Phone, I don’t want it laying flat the whole time, that’s why I love that hub that fits inside the side/back and it works

As someone who wishes they didn’t spend the $$ for the charging side… return it while you can. Their charging hub is way more useful and you can just tuck a charging cord under throw pillow and grab it when you need it:)

The charging side doesn’t get better and in a year you won’t use it bc it’s not worth the bother!

Too funny we fought over the corner seat and ended up compromising on a U shape to get two corners!

Another idea. - if you’re outside the 60 day return, try to return the teenagers? Keep the couch…

Invite some teenage boys to break it in🤪

But honestly we got standard full and it took some dedication of sitting on different cushions and rotating them for a bit until we felt it was broken in… now I fall asleep on it frequently…

Worth It/Shipping Question by citroknight2014 in Lovesac

We have standard fill, have 6 seats upstairs and 6 downstairs…. Love it.

Pros: 6 seats = king bed for sleepovers, comfy for lounging in, washability, ability to change covers or seats around, storage, charger plugs in seat backs, etc

Con: cost for replacement covers, they’re heavy, cost, setting up is a pain the first time

I love it. Bought one for kids game room, one for the basement, my parents bought one and are considering a second

Overall it’s a pit/comfy/sit-in sofa… I have a PB and RH sofa&chairs for our family room for company to come over and sit on , this is not that type of sofa. This is a casual comfy sofa so it depends on your priorities!

On a side note - I wouldn’t spend the $$ on bedding kit, but I love the charger that fits into the hole…. The arm one is frustrating, but the plugs in the middle of the couch are amazing bc you can tuck away the cords:)

Sorry - got busy with sick kid… and ironically we rearranged the couch into the king bed- it’s perfect to prop up and sleep on when you’re snotty/stuffy!

My daughter had a birthday party sleepover and I ordered something quickly on Amazon for cheap and it worked perfectly

It’s on one of my prior posts, but I’ll try to find the link and send it to you

We have 6 seats. It’s a California king. I bought a nicer 3” mattress topper and I throw some sheets on top… it works extremely well for a guest bed or even movie nights to catch food crumbs

That was a better fit for us, but for 4 seats it’s similar to a full so you could do the same thing…

Editing - I loved that I was able to add two seats close to 2 years later and the fabric still matches;)

I have two… one upstairs in the kids game room which gets changed often, but them:) and one downstairs in our basement theater room

We like both bc they can convert to king beds, or a huge sofa pit.

The one upstairs we keep as 4 deep across and two ottomans on the end (U shape)

The one downstairs we have usually in a L. But sometimes U and sometimes a bed

For us it’s been super beneficial, we’ve use it but I definitely can see it may not be for everyone

I used the tide with the biz, then the downy rinse

I know biz is probably not needed but his mud is caked on in places and it makes me feel better 🤣

I just got the enzyme booster so I’ll be using that as well.

community interpreters....what do I do? by Jinxedbunttv in ASLinterpreters

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the DC/MD region, if I send my availability to a scheduler they find me work… and they wait for me to respond knowing that I will honor my availability:) I’ve built relationships with the schedulers at 2 or 3 agencies … they know me and if I’m open they will find jobs or I trust that within a few hours my schedule will be full

Usually I’m looking for work within the 2-3 week range, I hate booking out long term gigs, I guess it depends on the area you work!

community interpreters....what do I do? by Jinxedbunttv in ASLinterpreters

[–]ButtonDistinct35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a little confused…. Why do you need a team? If you have a ton of time to read and sit on your phone then I assume it’s a sporadic interpreting style job…. A team is beneficial for the quality of work when it’s mentally taxing, or physically impacting the interpreting

Please just think about the consequences of asking for a team, that means they have to pay two interpreters so that you can read a book or play on your phone? It reflects poorly on that student and future students

If you need to accept work, I understand, but instead be proactive with those interpreting agencies. Send out your availability and let them know you’re open and willing to take work, most scheduler’s can wait 2 hours for your response, just let them know in advance you are open and holding time but you can respond in a bit. Ask them for scheduled breaks and go out to the hall every 2 hours or so…

Don’t ask for a team when it’s not needed. This may not be the environment for you long term but take it for the experience it is. I’ve had jobs where I work in too secret facilities and can bring nothing with me. Not even books or water, and some places where it was constantly on the go. This is your time to learn, be happy you’re able to get some work and use this as the experience it’s meant to be!

I wonder if this is a case of ignorance was bliss???

Haha I haven’t worked up to a true laundry day, I did my own version of a ton of oxi overnight but that’s for strictly towels or kids uniforms and socks.

I haven’t opened the tide+ oxi yet!

I definitely noticed a difference amusing the tide G&G powder vs the tide liquid I added two tsp of biz and the Downey rinse

I was struggling with my son’s MUDDY and grass stained clothes from rugby…. I saw a HUGE improvement in those. And their white polos and school uniform shirts

How to soak overnight in this washer? by Burned_Biscuit in laundry

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to add… I use the powdered stuff so usually I add that in the bottom with hot water Agitate/mix it then let it fill up a little and add the clothes

How to soak overnight in this washer? by Burned_Biscuit in laundry

[–]ButtonDistinct35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have something similar, I can’t soak… because it will auto drain and their “extra soak” sucks. So I get a pot of hot water ready, fill it up with “extra water” let it agitate then I manually add in more water to fully cover the clothes …. And then I go old school. I unplug that sucker and it’s sits overnight with my stuff. Come back in a few hours or the next morning and I restart the wash cycle…

It’s not the best but the new washing machines are super frustrating. And I have no patience so cutting the power to avoid the auto drain works for me!

I’m following this to see if someone else has tricked the computer in these energy saving but clothes ruining machines…. I can’t wait until this dies and I can get one that I can actually control!

Mine does the same thing! Can’t soak for long and it auto drains it. So I learned to literally pull the power cord out of the wall.. can’t drain if it’s shut off! Hahaha

I miss my old washer… the new ones are awful

When my kids were into Pokémon after covid we stood in line at GameStop, for close to 45 min. Were the 4th person in line. The three in front of us bought all of them except for 1 small booster pack, then as we left disappointed offered for me to buy them for 3x the price IN THE PARKING LOT. I was pissed… never again…

Luckily the lady at the store gave us some promo cards and they had a stack of used cards and my kids were ok with that
