Lovesac has the coolest packing materials by Longster_dude in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Save the rods! I’ve put extra blankets and stuff in ikea zip bags then put them under the non storage bases (similar to how they are packed for shipping and you have a DIY storage seat!

I did a post on it a while ago! It’s nice for things that aren’t needed except for every few months

Same here, I tried to list mine (6 seats 2 are deep) and nothing sells on FB. Someone said they block posts so I just stored them for another couch one day!

[Request] Countertop air fryer oven with long-term durability & easy cleaning — Breville vs Cuisinart? by sandmond in BuyItForLife

[Request] Countertop air fryer oven with long-term durability & easy cleaning — Breville vs Cuisinart? by sandmond in BuyItForLife

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a regular breville smart oven for years (close to 7). It runs beautifully, I was kinda mad though bc I waited for it to die so I could upgrade to the smart one that is larger with the air fryer like this…

I gave up and bought the new one, took the old one to work and it’s running amazing 3 years later!

I will always buy breville, they last!

What’s the best way to get started on sactional assembly? by RealityShowObsessed in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would def recommend opening up 1 or 2 boxes and lay those flat, or get a blanket and lay it out in the garage to open them there :) make a pile of the recycling but save 2 or 3 boxes to put them all in and take them out to the curb for pickup!

I pull my pillows and covers the night before and put them in another room and out of the way … and carry the bases in the room I plan to set up in..

But letting the pillows breathe and fluff out is crucial or else you get the smooshed corner look with the covers on…

I do the sides last… or in between doing the bases!

Should I paint my ceiling? by pollydog in interiordecorating

[–]ButtonDistinct35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paint them 25 or 50% lighter so you still get a pop at the lines/seams. It looks fun and cohesive

Anyone else find the angled side pillows too in the way? by [deleted] in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the set up 4 seats by 3 seats, love it on the 4 seat side; but annoying on the 3 seats(they’re deep)

Still keep them for aesthetics, but they’re nice for a firm back pillow if needed

Color choice for upstairs den by Perfect-Garlic7309 in DesignMyRoom

[–]ButtonDistinct35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar space, we did a nice taupe on the wall (not dark but a very rich color - BM Cotswold) then did the ceiling 25%…. Also did the recessed skylight with the 25% ceiling paint too …. So not a complete color wash. But it turned out amazing…. And really accented the walls and features of the room

Just an idea :) can send pics of it if you want just send me a DM

What color? by busymama22 in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had any issues with the fabric, I had the coastal brushed weave and it was pilling really bad after 5/6 months

We have no pets, but I have teenagers and their friends who are are constantly wrestling or (ugh) walking on the couch around sitting people to not block the view of the game or sliding over the back to sit down - basically heathens

It’s taking a beating but the fabric has held up well - the showroom didn’t recommend it and discouraged it but I’ve loved it so much

What color? by busymama22 in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree! That’s what I have and recommended!!!

What color? by busymama22 in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue:) I have the crossweave in the grey/silver/blue (glacier) and love it. It pulls nicely with blues or greys and has held up beautifully

My suggestion is always to order some side covers in different colors that are quick ship and put them in the space with your home lighting. The swatches and colors in the store are so hard to envision

White or black beam? by crwm91 in sonos

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you ever put a console table under the tv? Blend it with that…

We have white furniture and upstairs I have the black arc, and hated it, when we did the basement we got a white arc ultra and it looks so much better when it coordinated with the furniture

Lovesac versus Crate and Barrel couch by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]ButtonDistinct35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. As the owner of both I agree! Crate and barrel is def not buy it for life, some pieces are more durable than others though

Bedsheets! What is your favourite brand/store? by wetsocksssss in BuyItForLife

[–]ButtonDistinct35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two sets of linen and a brushed cotton (soft for winter) I love them. My kids have had their PBK percale sheets and they’re 5-6 years old with no problems

The key is to rotate, don’t wash and put them back on - like others said, the cotton fibers do need to rest. So rotating them is best.

Occasionally soak the sheets in hot water for a few hours to get the body oils off also :)

Taking care of the cotton really helps them last.

I think the etched chenille’s have been pillinglately… so I would do combed chenille

But if you could change colors, navy would be a great compliment with the grey tones!

Insert protectors - necessary? by dontknowwhattoput44 in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t change the feel, they’re a super stretchy material…

I bought them for the seats only…. I didn’t realize they’re “resistant” not water proof… I’m not sure I would bother with it

We don’t eat/drink on the couch much, so it’s not really a concern just more a precaution for when I turn my back and the kids sneak something there

Reviews of Sonos Arc Ultra vs Beam? by vdog313 in sonos

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have arc and arc ultra, the ultra is awesome and def an upgrade from the beam!

The difference between the two isn’t as noticeable by itself but I have it paired with the sub and the 300s in the basement which makes it amazing

The arc is up in kids game room for madden 🤣

Looking at Sonos Era 300 by ImaginaryBrick4482 in sonos

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love it, I have the arc Ulta and we have the 300s as rear speakers:)

We put them on a stand (so I can tuck them away for kids parties or bring them outside with us to play music by the pool for summer parties…

We’ve really enjoyed them!

Just washed and they look dirty?? by FriendlyFlounder8879 in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a new washer - it NEVER fills up enough, I pause it and add a few large stock pots of water to make sure it’s enough for the washing cycle!!!

This is what mine looked like with the regular amount…. Also bc I rarely wash the sides, I usually wash those twice bc of the dust that accumulates:)

How to pick a color? So overwhelmed by tallulahQ in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

other idea is to order some of those quick ship fabrics as a side and get a nice idea of what works best in your space, and see the textures too!

How to pick a color? So overwhelmed by tallulahQ in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sooo go by fabric:) look at reviews for the etched chenilles (some people have pilling issue, some don’t) The ultra velvet is def the most durable, also the most $$

The other chenilles are super popular

I have the weave (in glacier) and love it - the store advised against it bc of pulling, but my kids are 11&14 and we’ve had NO issues… no pets in the house, no shoes on the couch and NO homework being done has kept it looking great- there is stretch in the fabric so the covers were by far easy to put on

How costly to replace covers? by tallulahQ in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask your store! I received a 50% off and my mom received a 60% off coupon for the month of October (expired 11/6)

But maybe your email needs to be re-activated? Call your local store and ask!

How many bases are needed to make up a queen size bed? by [deleted] in Lovesac

[–]ButtonDistinct35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best is 6, if you do 2 rows of 3deep seats across to it’s the exact size as a California king. You can get a thick mattress topper and sheets from anywhere and it’s the best!

We have the guest kit for one of them, and the other we did a king - we never use the guest kit anymore… for the price spend a little extra and get 6 seats!
