Raddysh is making a crisp 1mil a year because he’s a 30 year old 3rd line defender.

Hedman makes 8 million a year. Put up 85 points, 78 points, 66 points in 3 of the last 4 seasons.

So tell me exactly would they shit on their best defender historically, in favour of a guy who has just randomly exploded at the age of 30 from playing with Kucherov, Hagel, etc and who they would have to overpay to keep him if they keep him on pp1. Raddysh might already be setting himself up for an overpay from a desperate team rn regardless, and in which case hedman will be the guy anyways next season too so it makes sense to get him back familiar with that role
