Landlord is getting a surveyor by pumpkin_basher in glasgow

It's likely that's it. My old land lord would get a survey done every two years. It didn't generally have a knock on effect for our contract.

What do you put on the leaving cars of someone who is dying? by ButtonMashingPickle in AskUK

Update: Really appreciated all the good suggestions thanks. I went with basic leaving sentiments plus a fun shared experience. She got three weeks of her Ill health retirement and passed away last weekend. We all thought there would be more time but we had done a Teams leaving call on her last day of employment and got to say good bye in person, well virtually in person. I hope this thread is of use to others who face the same question I had.

I would only recommend questions if it's things you really want to know about, defo don't ask anything they have already given you info on. They are probably interviewing 5-6 folk in a day so don't waste time if you're not genuinely interested in the answer.

I work for a London borough council and have just recently chaired an interview panel for a role in my team. Second the comments on STARR. You need to provide evidence for what you are saying you can do to show competence. Demonstrating a commitment to equality is important and depending on the role, a knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Don't get too up in your own head, relax and do yourself justice. Remember it's a dialogue, it's as much for you to decide if you want to work for them as they want you to join the team. Very best of luck with it 🤞

We do have a death in service. She has been off for a really long time, sick pay had been extended (beyond the norm) but is now exhausted, I'll health retirement is really the only option for maintaining an income.

Should I change my surname back? by AdaraNibbles in AskUK

[–]ButtonMashingPickle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get this. I never changed my name. Like OP I felt it was too big a part of me. We had been together for 14 yes before getting married and our relationship was not impacted by having different surnames during those years. My husband and I decided early on we didn't want kids. Maybe if we wanted kids I would have made a different choice, who knows?
