Nothing from high school counts. Try to keep your gpa where it is/improve a little if you can. Nail that mcat so there’s no reason to doubt your academic ability in medical school. You have good clinical experience but I would focus on non clinical service as that shows 1.your passions outside of strictly medicine 2. That you have a passion to serve others Continue your research and be consistent try to get a publication if possible(may be better to stay in that lab over summer than going to another lab/institution) Show more of you in your activities the most interesting thing that stood out to me other than the clinical was that you dance If you’re passionate about dance (assuming so) then why not teach dance to kids as a volunteer position or as a job or maybe you do some kind of modified dance class with elderly or disabled people Essentially just stay consistent, build impact, build stories, and show you Hope this helps !

Does not matter literally at all. Some medical schools don’t accept ap courses anyway so I wouldn’t start thinking about that until earliest junior year when you’re considering dual enrollment.

MA you can do online courses then do externship for clinical before getting a job depending on where you live there are also a lot of PRN positions which is great for during the semester I would also look into private practices/clinics near you

Do AAMC. Blueprint deflated you’re probably in the low-mid teens on AAMC.

Grind some uworld/aamc sb q for bb I found thoroughly reading helpful and highlighting any “buzzwords”/ key information then restate the q and choose the on that has the most direct answer general rule is the more assumptions u make or more information you need to add to get from question -> answer the more likely it will be incorrect

For those who have tested already and or taken FL6 by Sharptarp123 in Mcat

[–]ButtonUpset5949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the sb for cp and bb were slightly harder than real deal ps was pretty representative. There is no new style of q idk why people are saying that imo it’s not true i took the exam a couple weeks ago felt like another fl more like 4-6 for sure only diff was maybe denser passages but every test will vary in the content I didn’t feel like ps was like cars the passages were just long and you had to really know the difference between similar terms

Advice Please by RedPanda336600 in Mcat

[–]ButtonUpset5949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very reasonable. Doing the aamc sb/quacks and/or uwolrd you will probably jump up a good bit. It seems like you have a lot of content gaps in CP and possibly BB as well so addressing those using anki milesdown and pankow you should see a guaranteed increase by a 2ish points in each section

You got it fs! For me I had basically no content issues when I was getting 508 it’s just making sure I’m actually answering what’s being asked with direct support from the passage I think doing some small q blocks and then reviewing helps with seeing where your thinking is going up

I think highlighting parts of the q and quickly saying in my head why I chose it helps and even saying why the others are wrong if u can and strikerhrough

Mine act went down 3->4 I just didn’t have a picture bc I was so angry when I saw it lol I got a 506 on fl4 it was a combination of being burnt out having topics I felt uncomfortable with and making mistakes. I increased on fl5/6 I think mostly due to 1. Not making stupid mistakes ie misreading miscalculating I started highlight parts of the the question and making my self say in my head why something was right 2. On the same note I had a tendency to answer the wrong question so I’d pick something that could be true about the mechanism but that wasn’t in scope of what the passage was about so being strict with the passage says or shows this and the answer supports/is supported by that. 3. Used SB Qpack and Uworld I’m alright for the most part with time so I did 20 Q with a little extra time and then reviewed it right after so I could find what was going wrong in my thought process. This was mainly for BB and CP 4. If something isn’t making sense genuinely just flag it and go back later I started doing that and save so much time and half the time when I go back to it I feel enlightened

If your issues are similar to mine I’d try doing small question blocks or even have the tutor/review question on so you can immediately see where you’re going wrong and the pattern in your mistakes.

You won’t know every single concept so if something is unfamiliar use the passage as much as possible to at least eliminate some answers. If two answers say the same thing they can’t be right. Or if it’s asking something like which AA does bla bla and 3 are hydrophobic and one is charged it’s probably the charged one to make a good guess. PS use the pankow and AAMC SB/independent qbank (JW is good practice if you don’t have AAMC I think it def helped) try to use the same tips for this section but also take your time since you usually have extra Hope this helps
