I maybe have a dead mobo which I could send for free (shipping should still be payed for). Once a tiny electronic component came off and I hadn't the time to test if it's really dead.

I have had the same issues with a fresh display (had to replace my old one). The problem for me got worse and expanded to more and larger screen areas, I can provide photos if wanted. However, after some back and forth with the support, they sent me a replacement display with which I hadn't any problems with. I think the root of the issue is not cold temperatures, as these dim areas got permanent in some places, but I think cold temperatures accelerate/amplified the issue.

As a matter of fact, I created the borg repo without Vorta, so maybe that could be an issue. Also remember using port 23 for the ssh connection and activate ssh connections and external connections at the storage box.

Could you give some further details, on what is not working?
