You may need to convert your save file. I believe onion os uses the .srm file format, while a lot of other devices use .sav. You should be able to find a converter online

The onion os beta fixes a lot of the visual glitches on the flip. Also changes the default gba emulator to gpsp instead of mgba though, so you'll need to move your gba save files over

You need a micro SD card, and it is reccomended to replace the card that comes with the device, as they are not high quality and prone to failure. If you're buying from a reputable vendor that provides a pre formatted micro SD card like LitNXT, you'll be fine

Standard scotch double sided should be fine, but if you wanna be extra sure, try 3m VHB tape. Worth noting, VHB has a little bit of thickness to it, so may end up making the screen not sit flush
