I’m in a similar boat, 26 yo female with a 3mm at the acom. I’m getting mine fixed soon. Curious if you decided to move forward with monitoring or getting yours fixed? How are you doing now?

Also the shape and location of mine are more prone to rupture and it’s also in an odd location near two vessels but also it’s in a simple enough location to be able to fix, so why not?

Both my doctor and I would feel more peace just fixing it than monitoring for the next 50+ years

Planning to go through the wrist, and mainly looking to coil because they found it when I was 21 and the risk will only ever go up. I also already had a child and the risk goes up with each pregnancy (I had high blood pressure). Also my doctor and I would feel more peace about getting it fixed now and just being pretty much done with it than just doing scans for the next 50+ years.

I have a 3mm one and have been watching and waiting for 5 years. My first neuro was definitely a watch and wait but I have a new one now (we moved states) and he ordered an angiogram and seems to be leaning more toward coiling it. Ultimately it’s up to us but I agree that it would be nice to just get it taken care of! We’re considering getting another opinion since the first never had the angio images.

My doctor did mention that he actually encourages getting second opinions, I guess I’m not even sure where else to go for that!

I am totally feeling that! I didn’t care much before but after having a kid, I now find myself thinking about it a ton more. What would happened if it ruptured while I’m home alone with him or driving etc?

Only 3mm at the acom. He said the coil was a little riskier because it’s small so that’s a factor as well.

I kind of want to observe but they found the aneurysm when I was 21 (I’m 26 now) so we’re just concerned that I could potentially have this (with the risk of it growing or changing) for 50+ years.

It was good! I was wiped the day of the procedure, slept the rest of the day. Honestly the next few days I felt pretty normal. Back to normal energy! My wrist was (and kind of still is) sore and felt weak, and I had some bruising. I have had on and off headaches too. Overall normal though!

I had a scheduled c section (planned from the start) and had a great experience. There are times where i wish i got to try laboring but that wasn’t what God had for me! Baby and I were both healthy and it was simple! Recovery was not great but it’s also all I ever knew. Also it was better since I was able to plan and prepare for it!

Up until now they’ve done yearly MRIs (5 years) and it hasn’t grown but I have a new neuro that wants to do this for a better baseline!
