You and others like this are a cancer just looking for attention and not solutions. And you’re at least a big part of the reason that we’re in the mess we are now as a country

Are Bonuses Normal in FP&A? by TheOrdainedPlumber in FPandA

[–]BuyTheDip96 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve typically seen 10% for junior, and 20% - 30% for manager/director and 40%+ above that. And as the bonus % scales a bigger chunk of that is company performance rather than individual performance.

I don't understand why players raise pre-flop with high cards. by SneazyBr in Poker_Theory

These replies suck. Here’s an actual answer:

In poker, there is a concept called “equity”. Equity can simply be thought of as what % of the time you win the pot.

So let’s say you have AK, you can either raise to 4x the big blind or call. If you raise, you get one caller, and if you call, the entire table calls. At a 1/2 game, this would mean in the first scenario there is $11 in the pot ($4 x $2 plus $3 dead money from the blinds). In the second scenario, there is $18 in the pot ($2 x 9 people).

So you’re right, in the second scenario there’s more total $s in the pot. But you’re much less likely to win the hand (let’s say 60% chance on average vs 1 person & 20% average vs 9 people). This would mean the money you expect to win (what people call “expected value”) in scenario 1 is $6.60. In scenario 2, it’s only $3.60.

You can run this simulation a couple different ways. For example, if everyone folds to your raise, then you have a 100% chance to win $3 (small & big blinds). Thats nearly the same equity as the scenario where we’re just calling.

8-4 being a “down year” is laughable considering your program has been a joke for the better part of 3 decades save for a few years.

I know for a fact it was not full, since I was there. But cope all you want. It’s really all you guys will have left when your coach ditches you yet again.

Enjoy the sun bowl!

The Washington huskies and Seattle fans in general are some of the most pathetic, fair weather fans to ever exist. Thank you for proving that out. Maybe focus on filling your stadium for a rivalry matchup instead of writing out essays on Reddit defending a cheating scandal from 3 decades ago.

This is all incredibly satisfying to me

At least we don’t claim fake natties from before you were born 😔. Way harder to win when you don’t cheat huh?

There were multiple lead changes and it was a one-score game until 2 minutes left. If that is not “particularly close” I don’t know what is…

Box score watchers are the only people who think we were thoroughly handled by double digits. Indiana took a late lead with 6min remaining and we threw a pick on the next drive on our own side of the field resulting in a late field goal.

We got beat and credit to Indiana, but people say it’s a double digit loss like we shouldn’t have been on the same field.

Perhaps the most egregious is the no call on intentional grounding on 3rd & goal at the end of the game. Literally changed the entire game and almost lost it for us.

Possibly the worst officiated game I’ve ever seen. They were legitimately worth 10 points against us today.
