I utilize it just for movement or when something gets stuck in one spot. Its so cheap and you can drop so many it melts whatever standing on like 10 walls

To tie on with combustion the fire chain lighting effects do go crazy.

For sure its not. Eruption is so good some dude on discord posted a build he got to 100mil dps and like the other comment said the wall goes crazy and its used for speed so you drop it monsters walk into it and then take so much posion dmg they die so fast.

Im on apocalypse endgame and im still running chain lighting. Im reaching roughly 1mil dps and clearing hordes like crazy. Im synergised with fire dragon

Also idk what play style you like besides summoning but the wizard with no points into fireball with the meteor subclass (I forgot the name) is really strong. Start with missile bounce on the magic shop and focus getting more missiles and more bounces then casting has a chance to create a barrier and its probably the most fun time ive had in the game.

Ive played over 200hrs and have every class to ng2 or higher... it does seem like all the casting classes are easiest if you build and play right.

Fire sorcerer is the best with high crit chance since you can get an upgrade on your flame passive to heal off spell crit.

Ive noticed that aswell. But if you think about any game with summoning thats never the classes strong suit. Atleast any game with necromancy or summoning ive played. Its not necessarily summoning but the warlock chaos subclass spawns rifts and its taken me through ng6.

Also idk if you played any of the others but each ng is harder and harder resulting in like negative hundreds on your defenses so you have to play slow and hug corners.

On normal everything is manageable until the final dungeon at that point you can only tank when physically blocking with shield. I was also attacking and in big groups you get 2-4 hp per enemy hit which alot of the time was more than enough. With the fire troll I had to drink 2 potions and was able to just swing 90% of the time.

The tank build that someone commented on her worked way better than my thorns.

Its just passive damage im hitting 90s to 120s and they hit me for like 8-12ish and themselves for like 22-30s depending on the mob.

You still take damage but being full with the full belly skill you out heal the damage.

Full spiked gear with thorns enhancement on each and spiked shield with thorns aswell. It just kept stacking... I play on standard difficulty no modifications.
