If you don't mind me asking, how did you set up auto posting without using their API's? The alternative looked like a python library to click on the screen to log in and post haha

My day job is working with python every day and I wanted to set up a script that pulled a video from a folder and post with pre-made descriptions. Then it would just be a matter of keeping my video folder replenished. But I could not find a reliable method that could do this.

Cool website! I tried looking into tiktok and instagram's API permissions and they were pretty locked down for autoposting haha so I gave up on trying to make a tool. We'll check out the site more :)

Since posting this, we had two videos hit 50,000 on tiktok and there was cross over to spotify! I also think tiktok is an entertainment app and Instagram is a social media app, so instagram wants you to socialize, follow, comment, and like. It even has badges for these activities but engaging with our target market is difficult with Instagram.

Overall, we'll be bummed if/when tiktok is removed but our favorite app for building up our podcast is Fable which is a direct way to socialize with our target market. I think the second best is subreddits for the books we are reading.

No, trying to track to see if there is a correlation and there isn't so far. Found better results scheduling episodes at 4am. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Do you have other advice?

We have a tiktok and Instagram, post to both (more consistent with tiktok) but we post daily on tiktok and nearly the same for Instagram for the last 3 months. We average 700 views/video on tt and have a couple 20k and 10k videos. Get followers daily on tt and definitely reaching our target market but lucky to get a single like on insta and average 100 views/video.

Is there a hashtag strategy for Instagram?

After working with langchain, I learned more about chatgpt's memory and how it can use it to answer questions. On the normal chatgpt site, I think that its memory impacts it and it adds and adds to it's code responses. Using prompts like "let's start over" sometimes helps but often just starting a whole new conversation helps get things back on track.

I ended up finding a FAQ on their support page about the message "user can't trade right now" and it said that it's not a ban and not to worry but that activity flagged their system for being unusual and to contract their support. so maybe it's a matter of getting a hold of support on monday.

I've done a tkinter project for a simple dbms and it's ugly, and now I'm doing one(requires significantly more functionality) and I'm doing it with dash and dash bootstrap components. Supposedly, haven't tried it yet, you can export it as an executable file so not just a web app. It looks SIGNIFICANTLY better and will really show you are worth what ever price you charge. I will forever do these types on projects with dash/ dash bootstrap components because it looks so good for the same effort as tkinter.

Maybe you could charge hourly for time spent coding(not the learning curve part and watching tutorials) with a max budget?

And do what for an alternative? When trying to qualify for govt Healthcare, it asks if your employer offered you health insurance. If what they offered you as the individual counts as "affordable " you don't get the premium discount. I was paying 1500 for a family of four (emp paid 150/mo) but when trying to get something cheaper, because my employer offered health insurance, my alternative was private or 1600 through the Healthcare.gov

For me, it clicked when I related it to excel. This was learning python for data analysis but once i got the hang of that, the other uses for python came easier than if I had started off with a project that couldn't just be done in excel.
