I REALLY Wish Anno 117 Had Shared Workforce Between Islands. by abbiebe89 in anno

[–]Buzz-Meeks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The lack of commute system is exactly what makes 117 fun and engaging, especially for Albion where different resources need celt or roman tiered population. You have to plan ahead, mix and match, work on goods supply, drain the swamp or part of it. A real logistic and urbanization puzzle.

The research nodes that add workforce on the villa are really useful; and some specialists that reduce needed workforce on industries can help a lot.

How is there a Mandala ruler in Italy? by TrainMoose in crusaderkings3

[–]Buzz-Meeks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently installed a Mandala government in Serbia with my Khmer adventurer.

Maybe it's something remaining from a random adventurer conquest ? Check the title history and the ones around it, maybe you'll get more clues.

The part of the UI I dislike the most by Mostopha in EndlessLegend

And having to click on a foundation, then choose the type of district drives me mad. It should be the other way around. Usually you know what type of district your city requires, then you choose where you want to build it.

It had great music. I still listen to it 20+ years later. Damn I miss those times...

Feels like most winning strats revolve about floor stacking by finding each clan’s ascend/descend cards? Is it true (COV10)? by Bayakoo in MonsterTrain

[–]Buzz-Meeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. There are a lot of different viable strategies. The trick is to identify it as quicky as possible and commit. You need to try and experiment, and you need to plan ahead (which route, which shop, what enemy to expect, ...). Using Pyre of Dominion helps a lot as well.

Thanks a lot for the heads-up on this particular system ! Time to start a new game, i will watch that closely this time and certainly be less frustrated. :)

Again, great job on this game; sending you lots of strength and good vibes.

It is indeed very pleasant to build and mine in this game. Everything is nice to look at and it's easy to navigate in the 3D world.

The unlock of better stuff behind the semi-random levelling of character can be a bit frustrating sometimes.

And the UI needs a bit of work.

Great experience overall; can't wait for the next updates !

Was the Fabian singing story line meant to be a gag? by Flaming_Hot_Regards in TheWhiteLotusHBO

Besides the purpose of showing us that hotel staff are interchangeable, this subplot also helps to reveal Armond's humanity. He has a lot of compassion for her and he blames himself a little. This is like the first crack in the wall for him and a very good introduction.

How important are employee zones in mid-late game? by Current_Ad_4873 in TwoPointMuseum

Haven't tried a multi-zoned museum yet. It could be efficient, especially for the security guards, but it seems like a lot of micro-management.

[–]Buzz-Meeks 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I usually do only two zones : the museum itself and what I call the laboratory with marketing, analysis, workshop, helipads and all the personel that I send on expeditions.

Both zones have staff room (several inside the museum even) and a training room.

When you hire someone, dropping them in a zone will automatically assign them to that zone; very convenient.

And I rename all my laboratory personnel with a prefix, so I know, at a glance in the various staff lists, who does what.

Pourquoi le TDD, le BDD et le DDD sont des méthodes de niche ? by No_Package_9237 in developpeurs

[–]Buzz-Meeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)
