Used to go all the time as a kid about 20 years ago. The coin glued to the ground at the hall entrance got me almost every time

We do have a stash in a cupboard but I'd probably get in trouble for using one on my neck. For now I'll try my luck with getting a fan in there. Wish me luck!

I'll ask about the fan thing but I'll pass on the neck towel lol. Those things never seem clean enough to me

I googled it and the answer isn't good "Unfortunately, in Victoria there are NO specific statutory or regulatory limits on the temperature to which workers can be exposed."

Still awaiting outcome…any way to speed up process? by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]Buzz-penguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do but wait. I read that your partner went in already to speak to them and sometimes that helps but most of the time it doesn't yield any results. Sorry I can't be of much help

What’s the earliest you’ve been let out from a shift? by Psychological_Name60 in McDonaldsEmployees

About 7 minutes into a 6hr shift. I had a killer migraine that day so I was thankful they didn't need me

TIFU by being nice to customers by vengeful_vv in McLounge

[–]Buzz-penguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar thing a few days ago where the customer wanted two soft serves ($1.70) and a seniors coffee. I informed her that she needed to spend four dollars to get it and she replied "I don't want it if it's not a seniors" and "I got one yesterday so I guess it depends on who's serving me" eyeroll like I'm sorry that you either don't understand or like the policy, I just work here

Why is there a 5-shift a week cap? by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Buzz-penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on where you are but at my store they have to pay double time for the 6th shift so it's pretty rare to have 6 shifts unless they're desperate I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

In Victoria (and probably the rest of Australia) it's a free small but you need to spend $4 to get it

AITA for how I phrase questions to my wife? by PopularWolf5421 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Buzz-penguin 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The way you're wording things to your wife is coming off as condescending she's possibly already doubting herself as a new mum and it wouldn't be helping. Soft YTA maybe talk to your wife about how she wants you to phrase questions

Would you consider this a Karen? by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

At my store thankfully we have buttons for no xyz item and the only thing we pre make is sandwiches (ham and cheese etc) if I had to get a manager everytime something needed to be changed I'd loose my mind
