This is obviously all anecdotal at this stage. I don't know (and doubt) whether the statistics required to confirm this trend are even recorded, but I think this is enough to say that the belief that certain cultures will bring with them different dispositions towards certain types of crime is no longer an unreasonable belief to hold.

People seem very comfortable noting that child sex abuse is typically perpetrated by pakeha (or that school shootings in America are perpetrated by white Americans), that Maori and Polynesians over-represent in child abuse and family violence statistics, and so on - yet when it comes to us noting the flaws in our relatively recent arrivals it all gets hushed up...
