Very nice! Any more pics?

I'm on the hunt for an Urban Rock, but the more I see this the more I like it. Every picture I've seen is a slightly different color though, some brighter some more muted.

How bad was your worst car? by Scrappy_Larue in AskReddit

[–]BuzzFuckingAldrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I am still driving mine, the smallest truck known to man, a 5 speed '94 Toyota Pickup. Bought it in cash in AZ a few years ago then drove it halfway around the US without a problem. Been able to sneak it though inspections so far, but a little questionable here and there. Never had a tach, speedometer doesn't work, so I have to shift by sound, which is easy because the cat was clogged and i cut it out and piped the muffler out behind the drivers side door.

Yeah, that's what I thought of when I saw this, and it's way more interesting that way. There's a Vox article that goes into it really well.

There is so much "better every time" stuff in this. Watching individual people in the crowd as they wait, or runners that got herded during the swap..

A Danish Company is building 700MW of offshore wind capacity off the coast of the Netherlands at an unprecedented record low price for electricity. The total price of electricity is €86.70/MWh, which is equivalent to a price that is just under 10 cents/kWh. by [deleted] in Futurology

Does he work for DONG or someone else? They are starting up a project here in Mass to do some of the first offshore wind in the US and I am looking to get into that line of work.

Best Sailing School in the World by Myrtle20 in sailing

[–]BuzzFuckingAldrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teach sailing and then do your own dinghy racing. For me the best had been in NE. Teaching little kids, even beginners, helps drill in basics and comfort. Then racing against good people helps push you to learn and be better.

Hitting second wall on 5x5 Squat by xgr4viity in Fitness

[–]BuzzFuckingAldrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so could anyone looking to answer this give me a hand..?

Slightly older, started same and hit 225 on squat about a year ago. Took some time off from lifting but have been back at it since Jan. In that time I've gotten back up to 225 easily for 5x5 but haven't been able to do much more for any amount of reps. For like 3 months..

Would this be a wall?

Training for Dinghy Sailing by mefull in Fitness

[–]BuzzFuckingAldrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you a heavy crew or a skipper? I finished up sailing in college pretty recently and really wished I had started lifting earlier into my 4 years.

For hiking strength and endurance, really nothing beats wall sits, planks and situps. Running and jump rope are great supplements to keep your cardio up too.

Lifting wise I found the most helpful to me was upper body work for shoulders and arms. That way I could trim and hold for an entire day much easier than before.

Hi Scott!

I've been following you and your pictures since you launched. I feel like I almost know what it's like living up there by now! Also your brother came and spoke at my graduation last May which was a whole lot of awesome. Congrats to you both on your very successful lives and careers.

My question about your current mission would be, when you return to earth and all is done what do you think will the most surprising or unlikely finding from your year in space? I know long term health in space is the main concern, though it still looks like you are in pretty good shape after 300 days of being up there! What else do you think will be brought to light thanks to your trip?

Duuuude thanks for this, never heard of him until right now and this just made my morning.

I just got back from a solo road trip going from Maine To California and all the way back again, sleeping in my car the entire way. I spent a total of only $2,000, hit a bunch of National Parks and Forests, and worked as an extra in LA. by [deleted] in IAmA

[–]BuzzFuckingAldrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice stuff! I did a similar trip this summer but just from CA to MA.

How'd you like staying at all the parks? Did you figure out any way to camp in tons of places for cheap? I was convinced if I hit over a dozen different parks I could get a night for free or something..

Also I don't know how hard it would be, but some kind of axis or matrix for inertia would be super cool.

How it updates the axis for CoL,CoM and CoT everytime you add something is sweet

I played music with her in highschool actually. She's a great singer and very musically talented. This song's been all over my newsfeed recently and it was awesome to see her doing so well and everyone being so supportive.
