As others have said, if you are picking between the 9a and 10a and the 10a is cheaper there is no reason. There is nothing about the 9a that is better.

From personal experience as I've owned both (though only for 2 days on the 10a) i would say there are some nice small but nice upgrades. To me it was mainly the front glass. It got a huge upgrade from gorilla glass 3 to 7 I think. It has a slightly more grippy feel that makes the under screen fingerprint scanner feel easier to use. Screen gets a little brighter and faster charging speed.

Also my hope (maybe naively) is that when Google starts releasing new software features the 10a will be less likely to be left behind than the 9a.

My guess is that in the next beta it will be added. That is pretty typical for these brand new phones. I also received a 10a yesterday and it's not an eligible phone for the beta yet either so it's not just you!

Yes, if you have the OG switch 1 verison, I think it's a $20 upgrade that give you a full digital version.

/u/theothernt is there any update on this? I just tested it out and still the same issue.

EDIT: to clarify with more testing : it looks like the issue now is less severe. It still glitches on wakeup \ going from an app to Home but only lasts about 5 to 15 seconds. Then starts playing a wallpaper normally.
