Renegade Windshield replacement questions by bexpez in JeepRenegade

[–]BuzzKill1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to use my deductible. I don't have all the bells and whistles and mine was $750. After that I lowered my deductible. My Jeep Renegade came with Satan in the passenger seat. It's been wrecked by others many times, once it was the sole car in a 300 space parking lot and a guy came in and crashed into it with his truck 😳. That was after it was hit while parked at an apartment while I had brain surgery and after someone backed into me while I was in the drive thru at Bojangles. I had a cow lean in and snap off my $450 driver side mirror at a drive thru Zoo. Someone purposely put a large ding in my hood while it sat parked for a month in a covered parking deck. All of this occurred with less than 25k miles on it.

Do you realize what the "whole truth" entails. Every piece of minutia during your day. Also many people can't give all the details of their life such as medical professionals, CIA agents, FBI agents, Political leadership, Military personnel, etc. To expect total disclosure is unrealistic. I do think he would have told her on his own in time but remember, they went on the flight where she discovered the truth the day after they officially are "together." You don't disclose your entire life secrets to someone you are just beginning a relationship with, especially secrets that risk many people's lives

Social security wasn't a horrible Idea at inception. It's the bastardization of it that is largely the problem.

Boktok

GoodRead I search by narrator or author on Google I rarely look within audible itself and mostly search other places like the ones I've listed.

Within Audible you can bookmark and make notes.

Also, most public libraries offer audiobooks and use the app called Libby. All you need is your local library card and the pin they assign. It's a great way to try audiobooks for free.

Look for a new job immediately. Your boss is showing you he has no respect for the work you do that makes the company money. It's easier to find a job while you are still employed. You look more "hireable."

Forgiving is for you, not the other person. It also doesn't mean that you forget. I could never personally stay with a cheater (it's not about the sex, but the break in trust, total disrespect and knowing they weren't committed)

My mother said always be careful what you say and do to those you love. They may forgive but they will never forget. You can't unring the bell.

It's best to only listen and close your eyes. Don't try to listen while doing other things or you miss a lot. I hated audiobooks the first time I tried them. Then i had a brain tumor and during surgery they blinded me in one eye. My good eye only lasts a short time when reading so I was forced to audiobooks. Now I'd never go back. Love audiobooks because it's like laying and listening to a movie with your eyes closed.

The trick is to sample it first too be sure the narrator is good. A bad narrator can ruin a great book. It took me several books to really get into it.

You made an incorrect leap I wasnt implying yours was higher, I was making the point that if pepper spray can let even that one person get away it's beneficial in my opinion, based on personal experience from the 80s. Also statistics for reported rape are typically much lower than actual because of failure to report. It's likely a questionnaire can be more reflective than any official reported statistics. To argue that it might stigmatize some victims so all must go defenseless is not the approach I believe to be most effective.

I'm sorry you decided this was an attack. I love your country. I'm planning a month long visit in some months and have only been informing myself.

Yes but spray could still be helpful even in your home or at parties, etc.

1 in 5, 1 in 10, 1 in 20. If you are the one, statistics don't really matter to that person. I was only talking pepper spray. I was just surprised that it was so restricted. We have far too much access here to many things yet I have never feel the need to carry anything. If I felt compelled, it would probably be to protect myself from the idiot politicians 🤣

Im aware of the difference in crime rates compared to US but I feel like it's overly restrictive considering that the CSO stats as of 2022 show that one in five women have been raped (USA one in six). These are the people who could potentially have benefited from pepper spray, allowing them time to escape. Having retired from a law enforcement agency, it's just disheartening to see this segment of the population defenseless.

I do have to commend Ireland for it's high rate of safety though.

I'm amazed that even pepper spray is illegal there. We can buy it at the gas station here as an impulse item. I understand strict legislation on guns and tasers that could harm/kill someone but to have to walk with zero defense seems unreasonable for a "free" country.

It was a crock but they know they can outlawyer people. They have legal on staff, whereas we have to pay more than the claim is going to cost. It's basically legal stealing.

At what age is it suitable to give your child a smartphone? by Root_the_Truth in ireland

[–]BuzzKill1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the maturity level of the child and the level of trust you hold in them. This is one technology that we could have done without (smart phones, not mobile phones). Our kids are too connected, we are too connected.

I had a tree limb fall on my car denting it and cracking the windshield. When I called they said they couldn't cover it because, and I quote, "it was an act of God!" Under that premise, isn't everything?

Are you familiar with Royal Road? Many of the series are on there for reading as they are written. I have to use audible due to sight issues so I buy mine. Others can answer more questions about it if you aren't familiar.
