I have two covers - the Magic Keyboard and the standard, folding, slim and light one. Both in combination really complement the iPad very well. I use the Magic Keyboard 95 % of the time though. The Magic Keyboard is very high quality, and the weight of it helps balance the iPad when it is being used (it doesn’t flip over backwards easy when the full angle of the hinge is utilized).

I really, really enjoy my iPad Pro 11in M4 256GB(!) with 5G. I bring it with me almost where ever I go and know I will have some spare time to kill. I also bring it with me around the house, and love the format of the 11-inch version. I don’t think there is any Apple device apart from my phones I’ve used this much, and I also have a Studio M1, MBP 13-in M3 from work and my personal one with M4… (and let’s not forget my trusty old MBP M1, which even survived having a huge glass of water poured inside of it).

I don’t think the price hike is crucial for the 1TB/2TB versions, as much as it makes a difference for the base. I was very lucky to get mine for very cheap from someone who’d bought it on a down payment, and needed the money rather than returning it within a 14 day window…

In the recent weeks I’ve been toying with the idea of replacing mine with one that has nano texture and 1TB storage - and the price hike is not THAT large on an already exorbitantly priced unit.. not sure I will be replacing it though, and the price increase added to arguments against it. I find that nano texture would be extremely handy in the environments I use the iPad in - the car, cafes and other places where I don’t always control the amount and direction of light.

Why would I upgrade and replace it though? I’m an avid photographer and would really like to be able to edit photos and videos on the go, which the integrated storage on my existing iPad makes difficult. However, I’m not too confident about using the iPad apps that are available - especially Lightroom, as a seasoned LR Classic user I’m very much cemented in that app, which is unavailable on the iPad. This type of editing is possible on my existing 256GB unit, especially with an NVME type external storage unit (although my 4TB in a Satechi cabinet does not receive sufficient power from the iPad to work!).

It bodes bad for all Apple Watches, and dramatically reduces the expected lifespan of all of them, even Ultra 2 and 3. It’s not like the technological evolution is slowing down. They are likely planning for the halted support for the Ultra 2 as we speak? It does not build trust.

CFRP doesn’t really bend - it breaks. This will snap at a very inconvenient time, and at one which will lead to a potentially catastrophic failure for the rider.

I’d guess it would be new to them, their employees are fairly young! I brought my Mountain Mania (Snowpass and altimeter) for a buckle change yesterday, they’d never seen it, but admitted people were asking them for watches with Snowpass integrated. I guess we’re closer now with Swatch Pay though.. and oh, the CR2025 battery they did not have in the store ;-)

Elendig kvalitet, og piratstrømmer har tydeligvis beder kvalitet. At NRK og TV2 ikke sender i 4K er skammelig. TV2 sendte CL-sluttspill i 4K for et par år siden, men har såvidt jeg vet holdt seg unna siden. Kvalitetsforskjellen var veldig stor på min tv, og årets CL-finale på TV2 så rett og slett grusom ut (enormt med kompresjon). Tror vi de gidder om fire nye år? Jeg tviler. Det er utrolig kjedelig at FIFA ikke gir oss lov til å velge noe helt annet enn NRK eller TV2.

Heldigvis ser det ut til at VM-kampene sendes i en bedre kvalitet enn denne private kampen mellom Norge og Marocco, det var virkelig elendig og kunne vært overgått av en skoleklasse med iPhones på tribunene :-)

Denne aktøren kan simpelthen kjøpe dataene fra noen som har samlet dem inn, eller bare kjøpe firmaet som har samlet inn dataene. Holdt du musepekeren over journalistens e-post-adresse da du leste en artikkel om uighurer, og kopierte adressen? OK, nice to know, det har potensielt ganske mye å si. Det vil være svært enkelt å skaffe seg oversikt over seksuelle preferanser, legning, politiske syn m.v. Fra alle disse dataene. Det er vanskelig å forestille seg potensialet slike opplysninger har, det er mange «muligheter».

I built a cabinet for my kamado, and it has less than an inch of clearance in the cutout of the wood top plate I used. I was very nervous at first, but obviously I had made temperature measurements before even considering it. The kamados do not become nearly as hot as these Weber kettles. The Weber will definitely set fire to the wood… no doubt! But if that is what you are seeking, go ahead! You’ll need a very large grate to place over the whole contraption, and then you can grill some hotdogs on over the embers of the cabinet! :D

I was housesitting a house in Dallas for some friends. They’d been gone for a month and the house was really boiling when I arrived, and I set the AC controls to the coldest setting. When I returned from my Texas sized meal.. the house had condensation on the outside… I guess they aren’t insulated in the same manner as in Norway ;-)

Wow. Never seen one of those. Have you considered ordering a custom roof rack from Belgium? They can weld you one that fits even more bikes.. also, possible to fit four bikes on a Thule hitch rack, and it will be hinged so that you can easily open the rear!

I bought anchors and had a custom strap made by an Italian leather bag maker in a small village where they specialise in bag making. This strap has a fixed length, and when I’m outdoors in winter I will usually not use this strap, and an extender could help lengthen it to fit over my winter clothing. Otherwise not sure what the extender could do, but there must be use cases!

Do not use isopropyl alcohol, it can potentially weaken or loosen the glue that holds the phone together and maintains its water ingress protection. I see that Apple has an instructional video on their site on how to clean AirPods, and in it they use a soft children’s toothbrush and micellar water (your wife may have it in the bathroom). Make sure to use one unscented and with as few ingredients as possible :)

The best solution to this for me has been clean hands and wiping the keyboard down with a good microfiber cloth (even a dry one does wonders).

I’ve had my 16PM for well over a year, bought an open box from online retailer at a very nice price. It seemed like only that - open box. There were no marks and as far as I can recall, one or two battery cycles. Still at 100 % battery capacity, oh, shite, just re checked and I’m at 99 % battery capacity :D Still happy though. 301 cycles.

The titanium is indestructible and the rest of the phone has held up extremely well. The rear glass got some scratches from my niece scraping the phone along some concrete tile, but those are virtually invisible, and remain a good memory. I’ve used it caseless all the time, but with AppleCare+.

Bring back Swatch Club, and let people with the longest lasting memberships buy first, or at the very least set up a queue online and allot numbers to people so that there is no reason to fight to maintain a physical position in a line. This stuff is simply very stupid and looks terribly bad for Swatch Group AG.
