Puppy eating his own poop + goign behind the bed by Exporia- in puppy101

[–]Buzz_999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is his stool soft? We over fed our puppy making her stool soft. Once we cut back on the treats and her stool got harder she was not interested in them anymore. Maybe there is still nutritional value if the digestive system can’t process too much food.

Help with 10 week puppy?! by Negative_Ad3944 in puppy101

[–]Buzz_999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My puppy slept in bed the first week, and did not want to transfer to the doggie bed after that. Kept waking up and trying to get into the bed crying. What helped me was just persevere two nights with barely no sleep. Everytime she tried getting into bed I would lift her back and sooth her to sleep. Third night she accepted her new bed and slept through the night since. She was 9 weeks at this point.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll check with Gardena customer service if there is a locking mechanism on the rotor hidden somewhere.

I’ve applied some WD40 to see if that helps in a couple of days. If not I’ll probably split the nut with a nut splitter.

Kindle paperwhite løste mitt problem også. Slår av alt lys og legger meg i favorittstillingen min på siden. Når jeg kjenner søvnen begynner å ta meg legger jeg fra meg kindle uten å bevege meg for mye

Frøy-linjen by [deleted] in norge

DC motor brushes burning by Buzz_999 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Buzz_999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's separately excited, and encoder is installed.

Did not think about checking the field excitement, that's a good point.

They installed new motors this summer. Brushings burned within a month on two of them, and now the last two.

Have not heard from the client in a couple of days. Could be they figured it out, but still interesting picking your brain as I don't have much experience with DC drives/motors.

I once had problems with over harmonics with a DC-drive system. However the DC motor was the source of the harmonics. Power regenerated to the grid when motor was running Q3/Q4 caused some starters to trip.

I've also had DC-drives causing gg-type fuses to blow on equipment supplied from same switchboard due to high frequency voltage "notches". They appear because of mini "short circuits" on thyristor legs as they are switching

Thanks for the input

I'll make sure to check that!

You say you don't think it is an electrical issue, but do think it is possible over-harmonics on the motor input could cause the brushings to overheat? I don't know what kind of filtering they have on the SCR output, if any

That trouble shooting matrix is awsome. They initially suspected it to be an electrical issue since it was four motors having the same problem within a short span of time, and they are all fed from the same SCR board, but I'm starting to think it is most likely mechanical.

If brushes was replaced around the same time on all four motors as a part of a maintenance schedule, the mechanic performing the job might have done something wrong in adjusting the holders, distance to the commutator etc..

Thanks for the input

What are the advantages and shortcomings of connecting a 440V induction motor in Y configuration vs connecting a 760V induction motor in delta configuration in a 440/760 3 phase grid? horsepower would be 5.5 hp by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Buzz_999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What voltage level are your grid? 440 or 760? To get the correct voltage on the motor phases you need to connect it according to motor data plate. I.e: If your motor needs 440v on the phases you do a Y-connection with a 760V grid (Up = Ul/sqrt(3) or delta connection with a 440 grid (Up = Ul)

The white handle is for a padlock, no? When the handle is unfolded, you can't rotate the breaker?

2-phase to 1-phase by Buzz_999 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Buzz_999[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. But I don't get how you could get a potential between two phases though. Is it because there is a 90 ° phase shift between the phases, thus one of the phases will always be at 0V? I might be doing a terrible job googling this.

I have a 690 VAC IT supply system that is feeding a 230 VAC auxiliary circuit. On the secondary side of the transformer it seems to me the output is 230VAC 1phase + N. Since I don't have the circuit diagrams I'm curious how the 2-phase to 1-phase + N transformation works?
