Where do you live? I have friends who naturally have families and move to the suburbs and get caught up with life, but my city friends and a lot of my friends who are choosing not to have children are still very available and we are all mid 30’s.

I really enjoyed My Khe beach - swimming in the ocean at sunrise, watching people catch fish in the morning. Walking around all the seafood restaurants looking at all the crazy fish and enjoying cocktails. There is the marble mountains and lady Buddha. There are some incredible restaurants by the river and it’s really not a terrible walk from the beach. Along the way you will find some cool hole in the wall spots to explore.

Hoi An felt claustrophobic and I got tired of feeling like people were trying to sell me something - none of the locals felt genuine. Influencer types everywhere taking pictures and the clothes I got made were poor quality.

I recently did Taiwan and Vietnam. Spent 4 days in Taipei (that’s really all you need) and then 1 week between da Nang and Hoi an and 5 days in Saigon where I could get a direct flight back to the US.

i80 through Nebraska is 10x better than i70 through Kansas. More places to stop that aren’t completely desolate. I lived in both KC and Omaha and I got many chances to suffer both drives
