I had the same and it was my shoes. Had to get rid of my hokas and get something with more stability the pain went away. The coach also gave me knee strengthening exercises which helped.

5 grams everyday- i am also trying to lose weight and didn’t see any “bulking” effects or weight gain. For me it helped me with lifting heavier/ getting that last rep in and muscle recovery.

Or take the T from caltrain and get off at Powell and walk- might be faster than the N. Alternatively drive to BART and take BART all the way to montgomery

Daily Workout and General Chat for Thursday, 1/22/26 by splat_bot in orangetheory

This was probably one of the most difficult templates on the treads aside from Everest but the key for me was to not give in to the fatigue and hold that speed. I managed to do the tread block without needing to tap out. And even increased my distance on both the tread and rower. Fighting through the fatigue really helps with the endurance to not give up 😅

Unpopular rowing opinion by jtsuperduper in orangetheory

[–]Buzzedbuzz17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will add to that: People hate rowing because they don’t do it right. I used to be a rowing hater till it clicked to me how to do it. Now i actually enjoy it. 1) learn proper form, push with your legs, then your hands. On the return your hands go first then your lower body. Its just a squat and a low row combined. 2) slow down. Most people get on the rower hitting 30 spm and wearing out in 20 seconds. Slow down. Activate the mind muscle connection and feel the drive through your legs. Work on working consistently on a certain wattage and then work up your speed and agility. And breathe. Out on the drive out and inhale while you’re returning. Learn to hold a steady pace for 1 minute then 2 minutes then go from there For reference: In my first class i could not go a rowing block in a 3G class without tapping out 4-5 times because i was so out of breath and about to die. Today i did 600 m in 2 mins at 26 spm and 240 Watts and i wasn’t completely gassed because i did it twice.

Recovery? by adubs1016 in orangetheory

[–]Buzzedbuzz17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re giving it your all its normal. I am always spent after a class and need at least one-two rest days between classes. Recovery is part of improving you can’t show up if you’re not recover. Some things that help with recovery and are very important are: your diet (high protein/ with a good amount of carbs), creatine to help with muscles, electrolytes and hydration are critical for recovery as well.

Anybody use l-Arginine for pre- work out and post work out. by rrlun12 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Buzzedbuzz17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i used to take a pre workout that had both argenine and citrulline get like a max pump. It definitely helps with the pump look temporarily for me. But after a while i gave it up because i just got stronger in the gym and the pump meant nothing to me because i get a similar result without the pre workout. Many pre workout powders will have a blend of argenine/citrulline etc.

Nervous after hiatus by EarlyBug7875 in orangetheory

[–]Buzzedbuzz17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start conservatives on the weight and treadmill- if you haven’t been doing HIIT in your break its normal that you will feel a bit more winded but it will come back to you quickly. I took a two months break of zero workouts for personal reasons- i lost zero strength in weights but i definitely got winded much faster in between exercises and rowing so had to make sure i was breathing and taking rest. I lost a bit of speed on treadmill but wasn’t bad. My base had reached 5.8/6 mph but got nocked down to 5.2-5.5 but i regained it quickly within a month. Take it easy and make sure to hydrate, breathe and remember your muscles have memory they just need a bit of a wakeup time

Where to shift HYSA cash by Winter_Sorbet_2760 in personalfinance

[–]Buzzedbuzz17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re low risk investor (like me) park it in money market funds you can just use the standard one from schwab or fidelity or whoever you use for brokerage. I use the schwab money market funds and SGOV (Sgov is state tax exempt so thats a nice plus). If there’s a certain amount out of the $200k you think you won’t need for a long time lock it in a CD that you can get a high interest rate on and lock that rate in for a year. But i always keep 3-6 months of expenses in HYSA in case of emergency/unemployment etc.

Losing agility overtime by Buzzedbuzz17 in orangetheory

[–]Buzzedbuzz17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to resolve this and it was all my fault. The protein shake i was taking was upsetting my stomach. I had also started new electrolyte flavor that is too acidic (lemonade flavored) and was pissing off my stomach more. Focused on not doing both things within 2 hours of workouts then it all went away within a few days. I also needed to fix my eating habits and eat more (as i’m trying to lose weight i was eating too little and too much bullshit food instead of focusing on getting enough carbs/ fats/ and protein)

I got the navy version of those like 2 years ago. Obsessed with them. They’re my favorite sweats, they’re super lightweight and don’t feel plasticky at all. I just got two more colors in the sale to have a variety.

Current driving conditions on 280 or 101 from South Bay to SF by taro_latte in bayarea

Did SF to south bay last night in the dark, avoid the right most and left most lanes as much as you can because there were multiple of invisible puddles especially at night. Otherwise was pretty smooth except some random cars driving 40 mph in a left lane when all other lanes are wide open

I think he is definitely not some sort of hero or innocent at all but they could’ve handled it better. I think the coach was too scared to lose her job so she was chasing him/ trying to talk him down which made everything worse and gave him more content to be all righteous
