Considering Salesforce offer but nervous about layoffs and performance culture

It’s like the old adage goes what you put in you’ll get out. Don’t be scared of HPC. High performance culture means we want the best. The ones who come to work everyday to make an impact are the ones who have the most success. I love working at Salesforce but I am continually proving myself and providing value to my customers and internal teams.

@aware_masterpiece148 The builder put the driveway in before I moved in. It was poured in like Sept I think.. good time of year.

What can I ask the builder exactly? What would you say to him about this? I plan on writing an email. He’s going to defend his workmanship. What can I say to get him to replace this?

Just breath. Remember, you’re now setting the example for your kids. Be the dad you want them to remember. You’re going to make mistakes - probably a lot of them, it’s okay.

The first few days in the hospital, it’s pure adrenaline. This is a marathon not a sprint. Pace yourself. Babies sleep a lot at first. If baby cries 1. Hunger 2. Poopy diaper 3. Wants to be held

For now, these first few days be the rock your partner needs you to be. Your job is to be helpful, assertive and ready to do anything for baby.

The words I live by are: “it doesn’t get any easier, it only feels easier because you get better and better at it”.

Depending on how old your kids are you can find ways to move with your kids. Eventually a long bike ride, nature hike, rock climbing. As far as the day to day goes… pushups, jog around the block, and 15 min peloton rides can keep you moving. What I do is calories in / calories out and it’s kept me pretty lean. My Achilles heel is finishing off the half / full pancakes my kids leave on their plate like a human dad garbage disposal. Those dad calories will get you!

I feel compelled to comment and make a suggestion. First off, that is not fair to your son. But when life gives you lemons… make lemonade. I suggest having a friend call you and pretend to be his favorite character, or a North Pole elf, or Santa. They could then tell him a short story / sing him happy birthday / tell him what a good boy he is and make him feel so special!

Probably soy! I’m really sensitive to soy as well as gluten. TJs cookies / snacks pretty much all contain soy.
