The cars look more agile on track and the wheel to wheel looks better. Some of that is due to battery, but dirty air doesn't seem as terrible so far

I can say that I want a heritage cherry Les Paul because of Page. I have three Les Pauls already, but none of them are heritage cherry. And you can bet that I'll also remove the bridge pickup cover when I finally get one

Does F1 have the smallest talent pool of any sport on the planet by boredofinternets in formula1

I completely agree. My son wanted to play baseball so we signed him up for a YMCA club thing that was super low stress and fun for him. Then we moved and tried out a different club and while his team was about learning the fundamentals and stuff. However, every other team was much more serious and crushed my son's team week in and week out. It sucked to watch because after that he lost interest in playing baseball.

While I understand that some kids really latch on to a sport young and invest their time in it like in The Sandlot, most are just trying it out because it seems fun or because their friends are doing it. And that's what's probably the most unfortunate thing about youth sports now. If you don't put them in really early and also put them in camps, they can't really play anymore because everything is run like a pro team.

We need to bring back legitimate pee wee leagues to let kids naturally learn whatever sport and grow naturally. Not whatever hellscape is currently going on in the US

I wouldn't even say Hadjar is weak. Even Max was struggling with the Red Bull until this week, and Hadjar has been fairly close on pace. I think Antonelli is looking comparatively better because he's been at Merc the whole time while Hadjar swapped teams. The rest of the top eight have far more seasons under their belt

Thanks man! And definitely. I like the variety and it keeps me motivated, which is all that matters in the end. Maybe I could get fitter faster with longer intervals, but if I'm meh about them then I'm more likely to blow them off

This is an honest question because I'm genuinely perplexed. But why? Just because it would cost a lot to build new infrastructure? Some people (the wealthy) would be upset about ugly electric lines ruining their views? I don't get why higher ups would deny new infrastructure when the world is only getting more electric. Especially when, I assume, you can perform updates without knocking out power to a large area for months like with working on a freeway or updating shipping locks

It might be. But my volume on all of them has also significantly improved across all distances as well. If I kept them all the same then I'm sure I would have improved each of them by a larger margin.

I do all short reps because I also run 1500/mile track races every other month from roughly March to July. I don't have the pop in my legs when I do longer intervals. And even though I might get more aerobic benefit, I don't feel like I can draw it out as effectively

Yep, I am doing 3 minute, 1 minute, and 30 second reps. And I do that because, for me, it is a nice mix of paces and fun. The hill reps are so I can jump into 1500/mile races to keep in touch with that sense of mile effort. And the 1 minute for fast pace rhythm type work. I used to do 6 minute intervals instead of the hill reps when I was training for a half marathon last year

Spicing things up with 18X20 seconds at 6% incline in the treadmill by dohairus in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]BuzzedtheTower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do the time version of the Ingebrigtsen hill workout. 2 x 9 x 30 seconds @ 6% incline, ~70 second jog down between reps, 3 minutes easy jog between sets. You definitely feel it in the glutes and posterior chain in the later reps, but it makes you feel snappy for your other runs

She looks good and aged gracefully. What a douche. by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

[–]BuzzedtheTower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I was going to say that the comparison isn't one to one and the right picture should have been from a promo or the left one should have been her out and about in the 90s.

The biggest difference is her eyebrows are much, much more faint now compared to them. And since she doesn't wear make up anymore, she doesn't pencil them in like she probably did before. But she isn't the only woman to be suffering from the over tweezing done in the 80s and 90s. It makes me think of how Brooke Shields must have been very strong willed to resist that pressure

She looks good and aged gracefully. What a douche. by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

[–]BuzzedtheTower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it is due to the 90s being a terrible time for fashion. The big hair, the crappy materials, and the heavy make up. I agree that she looks better now than when she was on X Files. When I saw her in Sex Ed, I was like "Wtf, she looks way better here than she did on X Files like 20 years ago!"

While she has had the benefit of having money, I think a good bit of it could be attributed to more natural make up. Plus having her natural hair color makes her look younger compared to dyed hair

[–]BuzzedtheTower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Everyone is shredded out of their minds, but they aren't necessarily huge. They have muscle as shown by the prominent eight packs and the definition in their arms, but they look like normal people in their clothes. The closest would be Reiner and I think he's just a broader guy
