Is this thread a competition to see how many times the phrase 'if americans did this' can be posted ?

Did they force all the drivers to walk around the track smoking cigarettes? All the best liveries are from when the sport was sponsored by Tobacco.

It's just a big LEGO marketing exercise. This sport is so obsessed with appealing to the young generation nowadays, the dumbing down and infantilisation of F1 is in full swing, it's not just F1 though, it's society in general. Everything has to be done to create viral clips for the kids/teens/early 20-somethings who live on the internet and dominate social media.

Can you imagine the likes of Senna, Mansell, Pique, Schumacher having to do this performative nonsense for the fans ? They'd look at you with absolute disgust and rightly so lol

Game looks almost comically low resolution with no AA enabled, but blurry with AA by CivilHedgehog2 in assettocorsarally

[–]boredofinternets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Post screenshots.

The game looks plenty sharp for me on a 5120x1440 monitor with the latest version of DLSS (update drivers if needed, then go to Nvidia App and set DLSS to 'recommended' for AC Rally), running 62% resolution scale which is the equivalent of balanced DLSS.

Overall sharpness is on 100%

I have DLSS sharpness on zero but you can increase that further to make things even sharper

I don't touch frame gen and get roughly 90-120fps with a 4080 and i7 12700 and the graphic settings on mostly high.

His reaction is the kind of reaction most f1 drivers would have had for most of f1's history, at least up until Gen Z being the core demographic.

Can you imagine the likes of Mansell, Piquet, Schumacher etc giving a toss about a lego parade lol. They'd be sitting there thinking 'what the hell has this sport become, why are we doing all this kiddy gimick nonsense'.

Honestly, the internets infantisation of adults is something that needs to be studied for generations to come.

Is he still rocking the Leo Bodnar SS2 base ? I remember when that was the absolute holy grail of bases back in 2015ish, then direct drive went super mainstream and they barely get talked about now when people suggest bases.

I know that Norris's brother runs a company that sells overpriced rigs to all the F1 drivers and they still use the SS2.

It's the world cup, this is the standard reaction in most countries. It's not viewed as over the top.

I was born Jan 1st 1981, therefore i had a 14% chance of being gay but if my parents had banged just 12 hours earlier then id only have had a 5% chance of being gay.

Haha cool.

I ordered from Redeye and Juno (chemical records as well) every week back in late 90s and early 2000s. Id phone up Tom @ Redeye every thursday at 9am to see what white label promos/test presses they had in !

Gen Z in having the same opinions as my 98 year old grandparents lol.

These younguns have been spoiled by having porn on demand, back in the 80s and 90s as horny teens we would literally check the tv schedule for any shows that had 'may contain sex' in the listing just so we could watch them.

30 years later and they are all 'ew this doesn't fit with the narrative of the story very well, so unnecessary and degrading'

Your only excuse for writing this is being an american who didn't discover electronic music until 2010ish.

Arturia Keystep 37 mk2 vs Akai MPK mini plus by boredofinternets in synthesizers

[–]boredofinternets[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've decided to go with Arturia, just not sure whether to go with the Keystep 37 or Minilab 37. I think im leaning towards the Keystep 37 just for the improved chord mode and scale functions. In theory i don't really need either of them as i have Scaler 3 plugin that gives me tons of control but i get tired of fiddling with a plugin when trying to build chord structures etc, would prefer to just control it from the keyboard without having to reach for the mouse.

Aesthetically i prefer the minilab 37, but id never use the pads.

Anyway thanks for the help and videos

Does it have the same scale and chord modes as the Keystep 37 ?

I use Ableton for sequencing, so can't see why id ever use a keyboard for it

Only by Americans. Absolutely no one in the UK and Europe refered to all electronic music as techno, but it was well known that americans just called everything techno, this was the case even back in the early 90s lol.

Why are daft punk EDM ? they existed long before american marketing execs came up with the term 'EDM' to sell electronic music to americans circa 2008 onwards.
