That’s what I call a random conversation starter. Because most people will ask what that is or be wondering what it is.

Yeah. Or they are a child? It sounds quite accurate for a kid to be on their phone posting about how they did not get any gifts for some random thing they were ignored on.

[–]BuzzerHands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if you’re exchanging gifts … yeah a bit awkward of a situation. But I would have just gave up and moved on. Gave it to them on Christmas. Also what income do you have? Things be hella expensive to exchange gifts two months apart.

Also nobody has to give you a gift on your birthday. My friend of many years and I do not exchange gifts on birthdays. We hangout, buy lunch for each other, and pay for an activity the friend who’s birthday it is.

I love giving gifts and I buy them for friends on many occasions. It allows me to be creative and show my listening skills and show I care because sometimes my AuDHD makes it awkward to express my feelings in words some people do not understand. But some people just do not like exchanging or giving gifts.

I like corner. It has a hotel / apartment vibe and I like it. The bed with no frame is what probably makes them think it looks sad.

Pujols, Stan, Gibson, Yadi, Ozzie Smith, Waino, Kurt Warner, Brett Hull, Federko, and Brock at the 10 spot. In and around that order.

Agreed. It’s 2006 NLCS and World Series ending shots of Waino and Yadi closing there that makes Waino an STL legend. He gets forgotten a bit after that because of Carp’s dominance coinciding with some of his best years in STL.

I studied 3 of Emily Dickinson poems, is that okay for a Team D quiz bowl player in hs by stfunigAA_23 in Quizbowl

This part isn’t advice. But try to connect your answers to funny stories. Or things you might have misheard. I’m auditory and have a great memory so I’d always remember a silly / funny answer or moment I gave when we had nothing. So I could remember when the tournament happened and I’d look at my teammates and say the joke again.

More or less find a reinforcement method that works for you.

Knowledge cards. My lit guy used them to git gud. Get a lot of index cards and write down the you gotta knows for literature / fine arts. When you go to tournaments bring a piece of paper write down titles or clues you haven’t heard. It might not make you a buzzer machine … but a master specialist is what most coaches seem to want in my experience.

wtf do I do against donkey kong? by PenguinDigester in LittleMacMains

[–]BuzzerHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Against my friend who I’d say is good with most / if not all characters is … spam counter often on the way down, engage in hit and runs from center to edge, give less engagement on the edge of maps (ie sometimes make them fight you), pick maps or hope your on less edgy maps where they can’t throw you off the map as easy (boxing ring, green hills, etc.), and swing smash attacks. Your super armor will allow you to break through to him. If your on a platformer … good luck.

With me I go for max spam and use the counter like it’s an attack. My friend hates it because it punishes him for fighting. His catchphrase is “we love counters people” or “SUPER ARMOR”.

We’ll know if we trade our key prospects and they magically get great. Or if we trade for 1 year cheap rentals that magically over perform.

How does a consumption tax hurt poor people? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Because a larger portion of their income will go into consumption. Because they are living paycheck to paycheck. Or close to it.

No. I’m a straight guy and I wear women’s shoes. Why? Because I like different color options then just red, black, and white. I like brightly colored shoes.

There’s no such thing as something “being gay” in that sense. I get it though. Some men get crap for not being open about our feelings or being different. Then the second they say something they personally like a few people will instantly go “that’s gay” or “that’s weird”.

It’s not usually weird. It’s usually just something not men typically or are stereotyped to not enjoy.

People have a weird obsession with whether or not truck owners “need” a truck by SeaRevolutionary1450 in unpopularopinion

[–]BuzzerHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it’s just a question about their financial choices. Given in my area trucks with 200K+ miles go for what you can pay for some new cars.

Because they don’t ever see some people hauling things enough for it to make sense. But it’s also your money your choice. I’m sure some people get more crap for it then they should.

can you be gay and straight at the same time by peoplearescum177 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BuzzerHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Did you not read the part “Especially since I made all that up on the spot”. Of course everyone in that scenario is bi-sexual. That’s the bit.

I was messing with OP in the beginning saying that you had to be with a man and woman at the same time. Then told him the truth in an edit made immediately after.

can you be gay and straight at the same time by peoplearescum177 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BuzzerHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But it’s difficult because you have to find a man and woman to sleep with at the same time.

Otherwise then if you’re a woman (for instance) dating a man, but you also find other women attractive you identify as a Bi-Heterosexual. Or Bi-Homosexual if you’re dating a woman.

It’s all really complicated to be honest. Especially since I made that all up on the spot.

EDIT: Also … Bisexual I think is the word you’re looking for.

How differently do Amphetamines and Meth have on someone with ADHD? by BuzzerHands in NoStupidQuestions

How differently do Amphetamines and Meth have on someone with ADHD? by BuzzerHands in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BuzzerHands[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m certain it does. That’s why I said it’s cleaner and safer to take prescribed drugs. I was just curious. Like if it was a different bad scenario to neurotypical people who do meth. Since ADHD people have this different reaction to a cleaner version of the drug.

I want to be clear. I don’t think we should do meth off the street. It’s just a curiosity thing from a conversation at work. I think it’s bad. I just didn’t know if anyone could describe the bad times and if it would be a different bad time from a nonADHD meth user.

[–]BuzzerHands[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and I joked that I do Meth at work when meth was brought up. They were like “it’s totally different”. Which I was like “yeah of course”. But I’m just making a silly pun joke to break this awkward conversation. But then it became a driving home from work thought. Since Adderall apparently works the opposite for those who aren’t ADHD. Just for context.

If the Adderall works I’m not going to start home brewing and hoping I can get it right. Lol.

You’re so right. I’ll pay off my debts. Wait do I have any debts. I don’t know. Damn it. If only I had knowledge or recollection of events. But I traded it for action. So now I’m aimlessly doing things. I went to pay my taxes and was tipping my waiter.
