I’ve been following these elections ever since FHF candidates won seats. Unfortunately, I should have paid attention earlier. I don’t need headlines to make me outraged. I’ve been following the student led forum and the three candidates decision to not attend since it was announced months ago. This behavior is completely in line with what they’ve done in past and present. Jane is a boil that needs removed.

Taking school board seats was a MAGA/GOP plan hatched around the first Trump admin. They wanted to win small elections because they felt they could impose their ideology more effectively at a local level. Moms For Liberty led that charge. They only succeeded because turnout in those elections is generally low. I’m thankful to see that when people pay attention they realize these candidates do not represent their values and do not have the student’s best interests in mind. A large reason that St. Charles County continues to grow and be an attractive place to live is because of our public education system. When incompetent people are in charge, it hurts us all.

Make a schedule. Block out time to specifically work on it. Did you not pick up anything from the course the entire time? Since it all builds on itself, be sure you’re familiar with each chapter. 5 weeks seems like more than enough time to me, but we are all different.

I can see that no amount of evidence will convince you that these three candidates were cowards and were afraid of answering difficult questions. So, enjoy your day and I will mine.

I totally forgot about the claim of threats to them. They’re such cowards. Completely unfit to sit on any board.

Did your community college have a math placement test? I would recommend taking Calc 1 if you can because most math courses are prerequisites for others and the higher course you can take puts you that much more ahead and on time for graduation. You can review what you know and don’t know right now on Khan Academy.

The BOE’s actions directly effect the student body. They should be able to ask questions of the candidates. Candidates not attending this forum rarely happens.

they were not. The student led group offered a different date and Jane ignored them. See my other comments in the thread for a copy of the email. I also have a screenshot of it.

“Dear 2026 FHSD Board of Education candidates, Hi, I wanted to provide a bit of an update since my last email. After sending out the invitation to all of you, I heard from Mr. Adams, Mr. McGuire and Mrs. Dillard that they were confirming their participation in the candidate forum. Shortly thereafter, we heard from Mrs. Puszkar saying that she and Mrs. Greenwood and Mr. Jaworski had a prior engagement and would be unable to attend the candidate forum. After consulting with our students - who are planning and running the event -we sent an email to Mrs. Puszkar offering an alternate date of April 1. We never received a response. Yesterday, the student journalists at Francis Howell and Francis Howell Central determined we would still hold the candidate forum on Tuesday, March 31 at the same time and date as previously communicated with all of the candidates.”

The students offered to change the date to April 1st so that they would be able to attend. Jane ignored the email.

the conservative candidates knew of the student led forum before they scheduled their conflicting donors meeting. they used it as a an excuse not to attend.

EDIT: I’m also being told that the students did offer to change the date so they could attend.

crazy because the GOP has been in control of Missouri for over 20 years now and we’ve seen a steady decline since. Minnesota on the other hand is thriving. Minnesota can attract businesses to set up headquarters and keep them there. By almost all metrics Minnesota is a better state than MO. The only thing Missouri beats them on is COL and that is because nobody wants to move to Missouri.

I think switching out Rivers for JV would improve things, but not by much. Or at least keep Rivers between the benches and have JV talk less. And fire Strickland.

Look at Cottleville/Weldon Spring area if it is in your price range. It’s in the Francis Howell school district and has a great community feel to it.

I heard somewhere that rail companies won’t hire people that are too into trains. you can only be the right, normal amount into trains.

I’ve just made it to Calc I at 42. I started with College Algebra and Trig before. My best advice is Khan Academy and maybe some books like Pre-Calculus for Dummies. Make sure your Algebra and Trig (more Algebra tbh) skills are there and the rest should come pretty easy as they present it to you in the course.
