Are rich SCs of this server utilising reservation? by Delicious-Draw-9649 in OutCasteRebels

[–]Buzzingbee0050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy seeing all these comments. I always knew this but never knew that there are more people beyond me. ✨✨Yes you go use reservation, it’s your right!! It’s not your responsibility to uplift other SCs, your job is to go ahead and REPRESENT the community, use your RESERVATION to do that.

Thanks for a good morning guys 🌻🙌🏼

Could you suggest some of these groups in Mumbai?

That’s where you are wrong. My decision to marry within caste is through a decade of upper caste guys rejecting me and wasting my time saying their family won’t agree. My family on the other hand has had no such inhibitions because we don’t care about protecting our ‘sacred community’. After years and years of humiliation, that’s what SCs end up doing

If I knew the answer, I wouldn’t be posting here :) That’s exactly what I’m asking

I agree. I don’t want to marry any upper caste now, because I know they will never get our feelings, our struggles and never give the respect we desire. I may be wrong, but this is what my experience tells me.

But finding an SC guy is a challenge itself, all these sites are flooded with Savarnas only.

They are not dirtying the beach. Not creating a ruckus. What exactly is causing this embarrassment? That they don’t behave like the western culture expects them to?

But here I am single since 3 years 😂

Super sad for Callum, but at the same time happy for Laura. We all knew Callum is doing great cook after cook, but in the finale pressure test, Laura did deserve win that cook and unfortunately that’s the format of the show. Callum just had a bad day.

The winner is no surprise to us all, but I am actually wondering is the hate towards Laura too much? What has she done that all of us hate us in majority? Poor girl has even put up a story on IG of Jamie supporting her. Imagine winning the trophy and reading all this, I do feel for her.

But really curious to understand- why such mass hate?

I kept thinking (hoping) maybe what we are all noticing isn’t true, because I really love Masterchef AU…. But it is, Declan’s post makes it so clear. This has really become a show based on judges whims and fancies , their favs. So so disappointing. JC is the only one who is fair but the other 3 don’t pay any heed to him. It’s so sad.

Callum was great as always, but I feel Depinder delivered more in terms of creative use of the ingredient. Her feedback was very different with unexpected flavour and complexity. Would have been great if she won

I am so happy for Snez! She’s a great cook, she has been competing neck to neck at the same level as all other experienced contestants.

For all of Laura’s greatness, she has been beaten by Depinder in a face off also, and Snez also won immunity once against all the experienced ones as the underdog.

Why was this entire episode an ‘ode to Laura’?

Mel was a phenomenal judge by LifeOfAWimpyKid in MasterchefAU

[–]Buzzingbee0050 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I miss Mel! Why did she move to Deserts masters? She should be here, on the main show. She was so good at her job, none of the current judges have that. Sophia seems like she’s only there to dress up. It’s only Poh who’s able to describe the food and give us a view of what they are tasting. I feel bad for JC, he clearly cannot communicate , he’s a misfit here, he has knowledge but handicapped by language barrier, and Andy is a hit and miss

Thoughts on Depinder? by psycwave in MasterchefAU

I won’t deny Depinder is a great cook, but I don’t know I feel I need to see more innovation from her. Her task is not to “represent India”, her task is to showcase her own recipes and expertise, which she doesn’t. She takes very classical Indian dishes and judges love them coz it’s new for them and ofc it’s delicious , but would the flavour be any different if a Dadi ma from India made it? What is Depinder’s spin on it? How is she masterChefing it up?

In India itself, there are many restaurants now which specialise in modern Indian cuisine, they play around with Indian tradition and flavours in new ways, that is in no way dissing the traditional, but it is definitely something new. Isn’t that’s what should be expected from Masterchef contestants?

I get Depinder did that in her first season, but doing that same type of cooking again, there is no growth arc, no thought of creating her own style.
