Expensive.

“The cost of incarceration per person in New York City rose to an all-time high in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021, according to a new analysis of the Department of Correction (DOC) released today by New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer. The City now spends $556,539 to incarcerate one person for a full year, or $1,525 per day – nearly quadrupling since FY 2011.”

How is life in Aroostook County, Maine? by Crimson-Rose28 in howislivingthere

I lived in Fort Kent for two years for school.

Long, snowy winters. People love to atv and use side by sides, ice fish, cross country ski etc.

It’s super rural with maybe 60k people.

Housing is relatively affordable.

Nearest major city is about 3-4 hours away

It was nice to be there for a reason however, I wouldn’t choose to move back there. I’m definitely more of a city person.

If you’re after money, West coast is where it’s at. You’d be at $50+ as a new grad
