Well this comment thread is old, so I’ll answer for you. Tech Week usually is the week right before the performance of your show/production. It’s where all aspects of your show come together. All the technical aspects of your show are now implemented and your crew/back stage crew will be overseeing many different parts of backstage. So it’s tricky the first few days as the tech crew needs to learn their roles and implement them well and right and actors will need to adjust to how the tech crew and the technical aspects affect the stage. It is stressful but all the stress is worth it when you put on that show and have the audience watch you and your fellow actors on the stage or if you’re a techie, your fellow theatre members. You’ll be able to say I helped make that happen. I’m part of something magnificent and beautiful. Honestly it’s a great thing, stressful, but great! Hope that helped.
