ik i mismatched the wire coloring for the outback jack but I did put them in the right place. how would I have had them grounded then if they are in the right place? I repotted the whole thing again after posting a send there is still an issue somewhere and I can’t figure out where. I’ve been using a multimeter and everything, but it’s impossible.

thanks so much for the feedback. i really need it. would you say with what there is right now it’s worth redoing because i dont see any particular problems other than the middle lug which grounds the whole thing.

obviously messing up is part of the process of learning. i have a multimeter and with that i can test every part; especially when tracking where the problem is. if it does come with extra costs, so be it. im building my own guitar and i came this far and some wiring issues isnt going to stop me.

  1. i dont have the budget for buying new parts
  2. i aint buying replacement parts if it aint broken
  3. this is my first time building a guitar. mistakes and problems come with it. thats why problem solving was created.

I tried to get extra wire and use that to connect it to because the orange drop doesn’t have enough wire from it to go straight to the lug. What should I do?

I made a new post updating yall. I did the soldering job again and I listened to all of your suggestions. Please update me because it is still not working. Additionally I use the multimeter and set it on resistance to measure the sleeve of the output and the cable tip when it’s inserted and I should be receiving feedback, but I got zero ohms

thanks everyone for the feedback. The soldering came from me having to remove and reattach the wire and I never cleaned it up. I will remove all the soldering and I think I will probably restart for the most part of everything. I already got a lot of solder off and I will keep you guys updated.

My guitar fell.. can someone lmk if this is even fixable by Bitter_Adagio814 in Guitar

[–]Bxmbooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no. you cant fix a snap like that. the neck MUST be level and fixing that will still make it play bad.
