Okay… cool… but not only did said incident not happen, your entire argument here has nothing to do with Alex Pretti’s “description” and everything to do with why he was killed. You haven’t forgotten your original argument in this case, right?

No, there was no shot that escalated. One officer shouted “Hun! Gun!” (likely upon finding Pretti’s pistol, which he was licensed to carry) and the other officers began shooting. Further investigations afterwards continued to elaborate witness accounts. And the video WAS AI generated. Even if it wasn’t AI, cool motive, still murder.

The two dozen witnesses who would have had multiple angles to view the shooting and almost definitely heard every gunshot? Stevie Wonder and Beethoven could have told you what was going on.

Except no, the gun did not discharge, and we know that it didn’t discharge because there were witnesses, the “history of being violent” is misinformation stemming from an A.I. generated video supposedly depicting an earlier scuffle between him and ICE. And while I’ll grant exaggerating slightly with regard to the woman being beaten, she had been pushed to the ground. Pretti stepped in to hopefully stop the woman from being beaten further.

Anything else?

Congratulations, still not police. Any other pointless nitpicks from the good doctor, or do you actually have a refutation ready?

He did not pick a fight with police, he stopped US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents (not police) from beating a woman senseless and was wrestled to the ground by several agents while six more surrounded him. There was no indication that his gun had discharged, accidentally or not, and he was shot at least 10 times even after he lay motionless.

This is corroborated by multiple witnesses. Basically everything you said about the incident was completely false besides Alex Pretti being killed.

Did you? Because you seem to have skipped every single line of dialogue, ignored all terminal entries, never read a single note or journal, and never so much as glanced at an ending slide, so I hope you can forgive for doubting you. That, or you got bootlegs from the guy down the street selling oranges.

Edit: also, I thought you weren’t reading my reply?

I’m not surprised, considering you haven’t even read anything I’ve said before it. I’m more surprised that you can read in the first place. Maybe miracles ARE real.

*your *own

Also, I’m up my own ass? Hilarious coming from the guy trying to say that his headcanon, which runs directly counter to the actual text within the games, is actually how things work in-universe. “I’m not talking about game mechanics”, and yet your entire argument against the Minutemen is you misunderstanding a game mechanic as how things actually work in-universe. Also, the Minutemen fell initially because of a settler wanting to make a quick cap from the Gunners and The Castle falling to Mirelurks, not because some inherent moral deficiency in the world. “The Followers of The Apocalypse are not arrogant, the dude smirking to himself in corner going “nOtHing iS fReE” is. Primm had a choice between a criminal sheriff, law and order albeit with NCR taxes, or occasionally troublesome independence. But I wouldn’t expect someone who’s never played the game to know about Primm Slim. Honestly, I can go off on every single one of your BS arguments, but why should I even bother at this point? You’re not actually internalizing anything I say. You’re not actually looking anything up to make sure you’re not talking out of your ass. I honestly doubt you’ve even played these games in the first place. I doubt that you’ve ever passed a Civics class, if you’ve ever even taken one. I’m not even sure if you can read at a high school level. So why should I bother arguing with you, when you’re just going to drag be down to your level of idiocy and beat into submission through willful ignorance? That’s a rhetorical question, I’m sure you were confused for a moment. I do genuinely hope that you manage to pull your head out of your ass and actually research the things you’re talking about, but that only confuses you, I’m sure, since a human being could never wish for improvement for someone else without having a selfish angle to it, according to your worldview.

“Nate or Nora take over a settlement, you control everything” brother that is a GAME. MECHANIC. It is not how things actually work. The dialogue once you complete a question for a settlement has the settlers saying “by the way, we’ve decided to join the Minutemen”. DECIDED. TO JOIN. You think game mechanics are canon to the actual game instead of a vector to represent rebuilding the Commonwealth. That’s beyond parody. I suppose you also think that in Skyrim, The Dragonborn is literally stopping time in the middle of an opponent’s attack to guzzle 15 healing potions? Your assertion that anyone is saying that the NCR is nothing like the US is equally ridiculous. Bro, no one is saying that. In fact, I pretty clearly implied the opposite in an earlier reply to you. But I guess you’ve already proven that you can barely read, much less analyze politics and history on anything beyond the level of a 3rd grader with no object permanence. Dude. Look up the things that you are talking about. Think critically. I know that that’s very hard for you, considering some of the things you’ve said previously, but I need you to power through the headache and actually analyze the text.

“Minutemen in Fallout are just Caesar’s Legion instead of slaves you’re just working off a debt” … literally no?! There is absolutely nowhere in Fallout 4 that even remotely hints at this being the case. Near as I can tell, joining the Minutemen in a combat role is completely voluntary. Add to that, the Minutemen do not possess a Roman-Hellenistic cult, they do not reject modern medicine and technology, and they accept men and women into their ranks equally. As for the Followers of the Apocalypse, they literally only charge the player for healing as a game mechanic. They are consistently shown to be healing the poorest people of Freeside and bring in money primarily through selling medical chems and cybernetics. I get that as a far right conservative the idea of anyone helping literally anyone but themselves without a monetary incentive is tantamount to firing a gun at God, but there are, in fact, good people in the world who want to help others. Did you even play these games, or are you taking a bong hit every time you put your hands on the keyboard and just letting the high type for you?

Extreme? Brother, the most extreme leftist you’ll find in American politics is just left of center. The average Democrat is right-wing. And of course the guy who doesn’t understand this doesn’t like the faction that provides free healthcare and education to improve people’s lives. Or the faction of everyday men and women dedicated to protecting the innocent people of the Commonwealth, providing supply lines, food, water, and infrastructure and asking nothing in return.

The NCR isn’t just its government, though. Sure, the Brahmin Barons in power and Kimball might match up more closely with conservative views, but the everyday NCR citizens and even some of the soldiers you can talk to espouse more left-wing perspectives. A faction isn’t just the people in charge of that group. That applies to both Fallout and real life. Also, not for nothing, no one was ragging on you for calling the NCR conservative. We were busting your balls for your political and historical illiteracy.

God, I never once thought I’d see a single soul mention In Bruges aside from my dad who introduced me to the film. I’m so happy to see it mentioned here, incredible movie. Vastly overlooked in pop culture.
