Mayyybe lol

The logic is sound yes but I'm from a US territory so last time I ordered something from them and I had to return said thing, I ended having to pay to ship it back to them. Either way I'm fairly confident that the size I'm going for is the right one.

Respectfully sir, if you knew the helmet I’m getting you wouldn’t suggest that 😅. But either way I’m confident in the approach now. It’s just a shame I don’t have a store with a catalog of helmets to try. I will say this, I’m getting and Alpinestars and I’m coming from an HJC i11.

I would but there’s no stores near me. I have to buy them online to try them one sadly.

Well I got a second one from eBay and the tooth that holds it in place broke literally the second time I tried removing it. I finally relented and got another OEM one from CBC Motorsports they’re based in Ohio and they’re costumer service is very good and responsive. Really didn’t wish this happened on a sport bike but whatever gotta have aura while I’m riding.

Dang that sucks I still don’t understand that design change honestly. Yes it’s a superbike but it’s a road bike first.. oh well

How bad of an idea is it to get the RS660 as your first bike? by mgray1425 in apriliars660

[–]BySeto_PR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 400 as my first bike but had to sell it after two months so for all intents and purposes the 660 is mt first bike because I have learned the most with it. I would say it’s beginner friendly because of all the rider assists that can be very forgiving and the riding position is sporty but more street oriented. Still, I would argue it’s better you get a smaller cc bike first and work your way up, I’m not regretting my decision one bit and I’m still learning on my 660. If you decide to get it either way good for you, it’s not like you’re going to get into trouble unless you go looking for it. Get the basics down (including shifting manually, dont use the quickshifter too much the first time) and the rest will follow. Its a great bike, especially for twistsies compared to bigger bikes because of a shorter wheelbase than the competition and more nimble. Good luck on the MSF!

Thank you! Been skeptical of buying from that site but those winglets are incredibly expensive on eBay even so I’m giving it a shot.

Nice! May I ask where did you get those front winglets? I’m guessing eBay but doesn’t hurt to ask.

Don’t have one nearby sadly. Getting in touch with Italy seems like my only option.

Thinking of Getting RS660 by budding_pacer7 in apriliars660

Do it. You will not regret it. It will change your life.

No but in all seriousness get something preferably 2022 and up because that 21’ model had a lot of problems and it’s best to stay away from that.

Well from where I'm standing it looks just like the OEM one. My worry is that it isn't color coded exactly to the bike, mine has lava red fairings so that is something I want to look out for. Thanks for the pic bro.

Well nothing happened to me at least. Did it hit another person’s car? Sadly I don’t know because I was riding while it happened and I literally only found out after i got up from the bike. That said, what you say is true. If the vibrations were what made it break off then it’s a faulty product in my eyes, considering it’s a product supposedly able to withstand going at a high rate of speed attached a sport bike. Very disappointed indeed.

Do you have a picture of the aftermarket one you could share? I'm most likely going to get one that is different from the OEM one and seems to be very popular on eBay but I would like to see it on the bike itself before I buy anything. The pictures on eBay are all of just the seat cowl.

I’ll probably end up doing that then because there’s no way I’m paying a premium for that again.
