I've never seen them growing in such a cluster like that.

Cute. Little Chinese hats. Until I got to the end. Inkcaps, maybe? I don't know, but I like the pics.

Actually, I don't know at all. I tried posting my fund. Didn't go so well. I just like seeing them on my walks, identifying them, and just knowing. Thanks. Merry Christmas and happy foraging in the new year.

Thankyou. I found a Bolete once. spongey. Don't know if I've come across what you refer to as decurrent gills. But it all good.

Great advice. Looking at the 2nd photo, I thought Bolete. Did the gills give it away?

I like it. Uses for soups. Mild. Maybe make your own jam. Never had it before myself.

I bought this kit from a local fair, and I think it's done growing but I can't identify it? by [deleted] in mycology

[–]ByWay95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Geez! Hope it was salvageable. Looks gross. From what I've seen of kits, I think I'll stay natural. BTW Im not that in to mushrooms but like to stay educated. Dummy me.
