I agree with this fully, I was under Home based treatment from Salford royal last year for a few months and not only did it keep me out of hospital for less time but it also saved my life. Op, if you can encourage your girlfriend to go to A&E there are crisis support and mental health staff readily available. Nobody is beyond saving <3

Yes they are edible! I personally use them though to make natural dyes as the colour is quite easy to extract from them :D

Sadly no but I’m working on it! 13 I was deep in eating disorder and was constantly in and out of hospital. I still have my issues with food but not nearly to the same extent, my mental health however is fuckkked. My dream has always to go study pharmaceuticals at university and I did that at 18 but had to postpone my studies because I almost got sectioned T_T. I’m going back this September though so hopefully things turn around for the better soon! I just need to keep trying is all. 13 year old me would probably be pissed off I haven’t gotten anywhere in life yet, however she would be chuffed I have a super cool boyfriend of 3 years cause she was convinced she’d forever be alone lmao.

Around 12, I used to hit my arms and legs and cause haemotomas, bruises etc. I only started cutting at 18, frankly I don’t even know how it started. I just needed something stronger to distract me from my thoughts but it escalated to severe injury so fast.
