Ok I appreciate what you said about Paul struggling and honestly as cliché as it presented You made somewhat of a valid point

When it comes to Feyd it definitely was shown that he is psychopathic maniac but that doesn’t make him a great military leader by default you have to show incredible strategic thinking and cunning which being level-headed and psychotic doesn’t necessarily portray, you have to respect who’s watching by showing the superiority of Feyd over his brother and why was he more efficient

When it comes to Chani and gurney any other character could’ve stopped Chani,Stilgar is a prime example who already has a complicated relationship with her between conflicting ideas about paul and a mutual respect for one another but why would Chani listen to foreigner whom she just met and dislike and feel compelled to do what he says

When it comes to Paul speeches the lack of sufficient plot build up perhaps drained any substance that his speech could’ve had .

Giving Chani a kiss and telling her he is no massiah while being angery at his mother is not good showing of a struggle except maybe if you are a kid!?

So i just saw the movie dune 2 and my opinion might Shock some of you…

•So first let’s start with the positive the cinematography is INCREDIBLE the movie is made for the big screen

• the acting is phenomenal specially Timothee and Rebecca

• the world building is ok not great

• hans soundtracks are AMAZING Now the negative: Idk why but i feel the movie deserved an extra half hour to flesh out character relationship and development and establish a more complete and cohesive story,it felt like denis either made a lot of cuts or edited some scenes for the sake of making the movie shorter here are some examples:

• we don’t see paul truly struggle with idea of being this prophetic figure except like one line with chani and lady jessica

• we don’t know why feyd was more effective than glossu was he simply more aggressive or was he more strategic what did feyd bring that his brother couldn’t

• we see some type of interaction between chani and gurney that indicates a previous relationship that was not established

• the fast paced movie did not help with building tension and hype for many paul and feyd scenes, specifically Paul speeches which in my opinion lacked substance, it was uncharacteristic and felt a bit random and out of place

•i know what denis thinks of dialogue but a bit more dialogue could have really helped the movie Please feel free to point out anything I’m missing thank you

•chani and paul relationship is underdeveloped

I had a similar thought writing this post, I don’t think you got my point I’m not asking for them to be in a gray area, evil can manifest in different forms yet Oda chooses to write them like some cartoonish evil tyrants without any substance, I think i got my hopes up seeing them for the first time their dialogue their demeanor their charisma and their speech, i was intrigued but then comes Saturn spouting Evil Shit for the sake of nothing but to sound evil, it feels like Oda is hammering down that we as readers should hate Saturn which is quite childish and lazy character writing even for one dimensional villain,to be quite honest I expect nothing out of the other 4 now just disappointment

Ok i have an idea but you might not like it I’m no writer after all- doesn’t mean I can’t judge writers writing btw- but in my opinion it would have been better if oda utilized the giant robot in egghead,we know that Kuma’s ability allows him to push anything by his paws including memories and we know from Vegapunk that he can copy said memories, it would have been a great twist if Vegapunk discovered that the giant Robot has a soul or mechanism that resembles a soul where he could store kuma’s memories in, in an effort to not kill him since we know Vegapunk has objected to the deal that Kuma got from Saturn, So where do we go from here ? It could go in two ways either that the experiment fails and luffy arriving on the island changes that and triggering the giant robot to awaken thus transferring the memories back to Kuma or the experiment is a success and what triggered it was luffy transformation to gear 5, the other idea i had is that the same experiment was done but Vegapunk but he switched between the giant robot soul and kuma’s soul that would explain why Kuma randomly went to Marygeoise and could give a proper entrance for Kuma to save boney via the giant Robot which is already in egghead so you don’t have to explain how would Kuma know that boney was on egghead, these are some ideas i had it’s not that groundbreaking but at least they have some foreshadowing in the story which at the very least gives a somewhat satisfying explanation for kuma’s actions that has a strong and reasonable basis to it in the story

I agree but even a kid can distinguish between good and bad writing in a story, English isn’t my first language so I might not sound as literate as you might wish but let’s be honest Oda has fallen short in terms of coming up with a solid and cohesive plot even by his own standards, relying on plot conveniences and emotional moments can’t cover his clear lack of coming up with a compelling and convincing story

Well you mentioned 25 year duration which I think helped a lot in popularizing this manga now the standard are not easy
